BTW: get a sense of humor.

My sense of humor died in 2001 when I came home from Afghanistan and got spat on by new-age hippies.

No need to take it out on me.

Good job out there BTW. Respect.

I'm glad I clicked on this thread. Remember when that old dude asked Conan "What is best?"

Clearly it is watching the tears roll down the soft pink cheeks of hysterical forum members.

Just leave your DVD In the package, you don't need it.

Install Steam where you want it and install the game via Steam. All your Steam games get installed to the Steam folder, wherever it is.

If this is a deal breaker for you, remember to avoid anything that says "Steamworks" in the future. Steamworks games require Steam, no matter where you acquire them.

Keep on the lookout for any EA games that use "Origin" now too, like Battlefield 3. Same deal, different company's client.

You're going to see this being the norm more and more going forward though. Digital distribution and management is the wave of the present.

Since this has turned into a platform war, it's time to close the thread.

If the OP has an issue, they can post a thread in the PC Hardware section where it belongs.
