So theres a difference between master volikhar vampires and master vampires? I thought they were one in the same. I faced a master vampire at level 10 and he went down pretty easily

I think Master Vampires spawn at all kinds of levels.
I did a quest recently with a level 15 master vampire as the head huncho, and his ancient vampire minions were almost level 40. lol

One of those killed my level 46 DiD Survival Sniper in master difficulty last week. It was a matter of seconds and I sat there thinking ′this MUST have been a glitch of some kind′. It wasn′t though.

I haven't had a one shot boss level enemy with the exception of the Master Vampire in Pinemoon Cave, however that was because I got a critical strike on him. All the other bosses have taken at least two or three now, early on it took much more when I didn't have the sneak damage perk. I am mid level 35 right now with 94 sneak and 60 archery and I am having a blast with this sneaky assassin character. The most exciting moments are when you have three or more enemies looking for you, and you are desperately trying to hide with limited room to maneuver. It will definitely get your pulse racing when you see that eye start to open!

The only thing that surprises me about this character is how slowly Archery levels up, especially considering that my primary weapon is the bow. When I started this character I figured sneak and Archery would level somewhat closely, but that is not the case at all. Try a sneaky character it's a lot of fun trust me.

OH YEEEAHHH!!! I downed quite a few "master" vampires before meeting this specific type, so that's why I entered the battle rather lackadaisical. I used to think Briarhearts were the toughtest enemies I had faced until I met this svcker. Briarhearts can be tough, but as long as you keep your distance, they're not nearly as nearly as tough IMHO. I think these guys are particularly tough against pure mage characters because they're so good fighting at distance and utilize tactics I have never seen other vampires do. Never thought ONE single enemy would give me this much trouble... especially on ADEPT!
