Was my comment offensive?

It wasn't offensive at all.

You're using Facebook. That's offensive enough.

I was referring to how he felt the need to blur it out in Photoshop and then post it for everyone to read.

Are you friends with the gentleman? Because it just sounds like you put these comments on his (and other's) statuses from what I'm hearing.

He overreacted, you came off condescending. Whenever someone says "tl;dr +insert witty comment here" it is a pretty clear indicator that they don't care what the person has to say, all they care about is that other people hear them, making them come off as condescending and like a little girl screaming for attention.

I can't decipher this, it looks like garble. So what happened? Did Zoidberg get hit by a bus or something?

Yeah, push responsibility for what you said aside and focus on what a complainer that guy is. You intentionally misinterpreted his post in a humiliating way, then to make matters worse you responded to his stupid remark afterward. If it had ended after his comment, it would have actually been kind of funny. However, that's not what happened. Learn to be funny, stop being condescending, and for god's sake, change your stupid profile picture.

Ok.

Just one question.

If I live 4000 miles away from Rhode Island,

How could I possibly have peed in your cheerios this morning?

Long story short: it's Facebook. If you want my blunt opinion, it was both silly of him to blow up over it... And silly of you to really care enough to bring it here. Long story short, it's 100% overblown. Kiss, makeup, or just delete/hide the comments and pretend it never happened, whatever, and get on with your Farmville/Cityville/Skyrimville/whatever Zynga game you spend entirely too much time on... Or play a nice TES game instead. :)

I couldn't help but laugh at this point. Even Boradam's comment about "purple things" didn't get me like that.

How could I possibly have peed in your cheerios this morning?

Really good aim?

Well what do you want? For me to actually address such a stupid post?

I asked why if my initial comment was offensive (AKA grounds for provoking an outburst) and I get a poster talking about some comment later down the page after the outburst (which due to the nature of time, has no effect on whether or not my initial comment was offensive.) When clarified, I'm told that I'm pushing my responsibility aside, or something weird like that. Way to miss the point of the thread!

No. I ask you to treat others with the respect you seem to think you deserve.

You placed your comments out in the open, and you left them open to criticism, whether you intended to or not.

Then criticize, I don't care, but don't act like it's somehow an answer to the question "was my comment offensive?" Because it's not, remotely. I can post a picture of my face and you guys can criticize that too - equal relevance to question.

I addressed all of the comments made. You're responsible for whatever you say, trying to focus on what the other person said and justifying what you say based on that is childish. So, to put it simply for you, you're responsible for that entire outburst.
...and I get a poster talking about some comment later down the page after the outburst (which due to the nature of time, has no effect on whether or not my initial comment was offensive.)
It has everything to do with your initial comment. It's odd that you believe otherwise. If you'd said something different or nothing at all, the conversation would have been completely different or, obvious enough, non-existent.

That was entirely criticism relevant to your question. I hope you understand that. If you don't even consider what I said relevant, when it so clearly is, then I believe anything else I say will be in vain.

I want to know if the comment "isn't it?" is an unacceptable response. If pointing out that your criticisms are irrelevent, so be it. I'm merely clarifying my question, which I didn't think was hard to grasp. Feel free to post any criticism you want, I really just don't give a crap. However, it is not relevant.

So, to put it simply for you, you're responsible for that entire outburst.

Oh dear. I disagree, I think you're just saying that because I posted the thread, and you've had a bad day or something. Look again, which post displayed anger? Which involved cursing? What lead it down it's ultimate path?

Enjoy your wrong. Yes, if I would have said something different, the conversation would have been different, thanks for that stellar gem. Once again, that has nothing to do with if the initial response to my "isn't it?" comment was warranted.

If you were in other guy's shoes, would you have cursed at me and called me a cold, heartless bastard over it? You can't say you would have? Seriously.

Man, I just don't have it in me to try and pick through all of this, edit and delete posts, etc.

So, it looks like I'm just going to close this before it gets even more downhill.
