Was my comment offensive?

It was a joke, but apparently, it was interpreted as a hateful, remarkably awful, sixist, racist, homophobic, and even diabetic claim of superiority.

So be honest, does my comment offend? (I'm mayhem guy)

If the limit to how loud we could yell was lower...

*Insert Philosiraptor image here*

Wouldn't that mean our tolerance for yelling would also be lower?

I don't see anything wrong with it. That other guy seems to just be looking for any reason at all to start an argument with somebody, just ignore him.

It was funny because but only because he's in the wrong. Like totally. He got mad at you for saying two simple words, and it wasn't a smart ass comment as he said. Maybe you've offended him previously and he just thought saying "Isn't it?" was a kind of "You're so dumb, of course you can!" So we definitely need more details.

No, he's talking about other things I've posted (in the same humor) on other people's statuses. Guess it annoys him. I don't take offense to it though, because he is a bit of a complainer. IE, that very status was a complaint.

I ended it recommending some stress reducing techniques.

There are three phrases I always say to my brother in rapid succession and in random order whenever he worries about some inconsequential thing:
"Get in the game, get on with your life and get your head out of your ass."
Feel free to use this phrase against said whiner.

I will use this quote liberally from now on

As for the OP, no you weren't in the wrong. That was actually a kind of amusing comment. That guy's clearly in a bad mood.

 I'm not sure which is worse, overreacting to a Facebook post or overreacting to the guy who over reacted to the point where you feel the need to edit the conversation and then ask a bunch of strangers for their opinion.

If he wants a stick further up his ass, they do have certain purple things designed for that.

Well, I think this is the first conversation I've seen go in this direction...

I think he edited out the cuss words?

Edit.

Actually no, it looks to be more.

I was referring to how he felt the need to blur it out in Photoshop and then post it for everyone to read.

Meh. Call it a dual motivation - confirm I'm not a cold hearted bastard, and provide the forum with an interesting read.

Blurred out are cusses and names, that's it.

Well, as someone that is a cold hearted bastard, I don't blame you. I get a lot of comments like that on Facebook, but by posting it on the forums you have fallen to the same level that he is at.

That's almost exactly what I was referring to, except it was more like a chainsaw in that it was mounted to a machine, handheld, and it ran on gasoline.
