Way to hard

Heyguys I'm the op. And I re-did it and I found out the trick. Look everywhere for stimpacks. Don't give your companions them because

They won't die they will go unconscious. I was level 30 when I started this and my melée was 14 and I'm 35 now and it's at 58 or something. Make sure to get it up.

Pick up any food or drink you find and use that for health. My heart was beating the whole time because I was dying. Save your stimpacks for the end.

Do this and you will easily beat it. Save constantly.

Exactly - I am on normal with hardcoe (companions die) level 30. My melee was 15 now up to 25. I, like dog, eat everything I find and use a radaway now and then - saving the stims for later. At first I was going to give this one shot - but as I get further in (have dealt with companions) I may go through it with my non-hardcoe character. I think the difficulty will make the rest of NV seem like a push over. Ghost people still eat my lunch, but I am learning to adapt. If this DLC teaches you anything it's "run away". Collar beeping - run through till it stops, red cloud - run through till it stops, Ghost people - run through to an open area.

I didn't think the difficulty was over the top. If anything it forced you to be more frugal with your items. But my hand to hand was also very high so I had no problems with the ghost people at all.

Most of the complaints I'm reading appear to come from people who didn't listen to what the hologram was telling you in the first part of the DLC. Dealing with the ghost people? Explained. Toxic gas? Explained. Collar beeping? Explained. If you skim through dialogue, I can see how you might find it too hard, but honestly I don't know why you'd do that with a game like Fallout: New Vegas. The writing is a huge part of the point of the game's quality.

In full disclosure, I only played about an hour of the game, and mostly just mucked about gathering chips before dying in a house that was all toxic gas. My melee/energy weapons character had no particular trouble with the enemies I met, though I understand it might be trickier with a different build. All the same, the layout of the initial map just screams out to be explored for sufficient chips, food, and weapons.

Does you need unarmed to perservere like you or will melee do the trick?

The initial enemies use melee weapons, and you can find several in various buildings. The throwing weapons you can find also use Melee, so you can go for ranged kills as well.

Yeah either one and you will be fine. You'll get the bear trap fist and a knife spear very early on. I didn't use the holorifle at all.

No Offense guy I really dont find whats so hard about it. I went through at lvl 9 with an endurance of 3 on hardcoe Hard. I came out at lvl 13. I will admit that the start is rather difficult but the moment that you start thinking instead of rushing you should do fine.

Shoot the glowing blue domes.

Honestly.. I'm confused by all those having problems with the holograms.. I've put 0 points in my sneak which is at about 15..and I had no problems.. just go behind them when they are facing the other direction.. head to the nearest computer terminal and change the default pattern so they are roaming instead of guarding.. which gives you more space to move..

If all else fails their energy dome is usually within about 5 seconds one direction or another... keep saving until you find it.. in a closet or bathroom or behind a cash register.. shoot it and they will go away..

I found the DLC extremely frustrating but the holograms were no fret compared to the fog/speakers/ghost folk..

It's not really that it's hard, it's just that the whole thing feels like a chore. Very tedious, ugly environment, lackluster characters. Father Elijah and Dean are interesting, the other two are less so.

It's a tiny area, so to make the DLC last longer they just make you double back again and again. Timeless tactic by lazy game developers.

The Ghost People are not very imaginative either. They look like they were ripped off from STALKER.

I give Dead Money a 2/10.

You...... confuses me

I went through probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the DLC with 1-3 bars...yes bars of health, so one hit kill on me, needless to say I died about 40 times, it made it intense though, I was scrapping to be able to afford stimpak's, bubble gum, sugar bombs, anything to give me health in the vendors haha

I started it at level 16, hardcoe mode on, Hard difficulty, and I only had minimal trouble. The only thing that really made me mad was those stupid Gas Bombs they like to lob at you, and even then. You gotta use cunning and your brain. Don't waste ammo, food, and other things that you need. Skip combat if you can't afford it, go a different route. DON'T RUN AROUND WITH YOUR FREAKING LIGHT ON DUMMY! Explore every building you come across and look out for Deans Stashes. And use your followers! Of course, then you get to the kitchen part with Dog and you get pissed... Only part I had extreme trouble on.
