Weapons I would like to see added to Skyrim

Let me start it off with saying that I love this game!! I would love it more if down the road a magical gauntlet was added ( you know covered in gems and super powerful and cool looking) Just a suggestion. And how about a dwarvin crossbow down the line? I am sure other people have suggestions so let's have em?

Crossbows died partially with the Dwemer. A few were left, and then they were all destroyed during the Red Year.

I like the idea of a Dwarven Crossbow, but it would have to be a legendary/unique item.

With the current skills system of One-handed and Two-handed, as well as the perks they contain, there isn't much room for entirely new types of weapons. If spears were added, how would they benefit from the skill trees as they are? Same for shuriken, scythes, flails, quarterstaves, etc.

It's such a simple yet extremely useful weapon design. AK47 of the pre-gun powder era imo.

How would spear work into current perk system? Well of course the current perk tree won't work well with spear because it wasn't designed with spear in mind. But in grander scheme of possible improvements for DLCs or next TES games, things like mounted combat would make more sense with lance/pikes.

A new weapon class would work fine. The thought crossed my mind more than once. If you had a whole new skill and it started from 1 there would probably be several levels in that one tree (even if you were @ 81).

1h crossbow, 2h crossbow, throwing knifes, throwing axes, spears, mechanical traps you can plant (under lockpick skill) and some new spells. A flying conjure would be nice, maybe some other dremora.

i think a crossbow would be good for extra content, there must be atleast a big quest after it. and you need a high smithing level to create it.

I have seen spears in Skyrim. One half-frozen-mammoth in the Northern part of Skyrim was killed with spears and arrows. Bad thing is you can't collect them.

There is a member floating around here somewhere that has a level 52 unarmed character. Unarmed is viable.

I would love to see spears or lances added in. In a game focused on dragon slaying, I can't think of a more appropriate weapon.

I'd also like to see flails added in. With full physics, of course. It just wouldn't be as interesting if it was all pre-animated. It wouldn't feel as natural.

Silver weapons: all types of them and forge/upgrade able - not only those silver hand's silver swords which you can't upgrade or put on weapon rag.

Double ended weapons.

It would be a 2handed weapon but would work like duel wielding. Left click would swing one end and right click would swing the other. Click both buttons and you get a wide swing that uses both ends. Both button power attack would be a fancy 3 or 4 hit combo.

Seriously tho I wouldn't mind them adding throwing daggers and maybe some traps you can set besides the magical rune things and loads of new swords.

I think removing spell making is fine if there's enough spells... so I'm thinking now, that maybe they'll eventually add more with DLC and or Expansion. Guess we'll see....

Place-able traps, yes. Honestly there isn't a good reason why we couldn't buy/find and use those bear traps at least.
