I also have an obsession for collecting money. Even if it's just a single coin, I have to get it. I've already got half a million in gold, it's not like I need the money anymore. I also have to take every single weapon, jewellery or armour I find that is worth over 800 gold. My mule lydia takes them all for me, her carry weight must be in excess of 3000 now. The funny thing is, if I try to give her an item it says too heavy to carry. But by using the dialogue option 'I need your help' she will endlessly take every item I want her to. She has tons of stuff now. I just can't be bothered to sell them. If I did I'd probably be close to a millionaire.

I am leader of the Nightingales. I have sworn an oath to serve Nocturnal when I'm dead. Every time I go through the Cistern I take Nocturnal's blessing and crouch before her statue, my bow, for a few seconds.

Then I go on my merry way.

I restocked the thieves guild treasure room with actual treasure - all the silver swords and silver objects, every gem stone, ring etc. I filled up the chests until they overflowed then started dumping things on the ground. Looks much nicer.

I never take the road, anywhere. I'm always traipising through the wilderness, climbing mountains that I"m pretty sure aren't meant to be climbed, but I hop my way up them anyways. I'll do the same going down them as well, I'll take the most dangerous path, finding small leldges to land on to stop myself from dying from long drops to the ground. I've done this since Morrowind.

I start off by throwing my characters into a tonne of trouble. Things like fast-travelling to one of the holds, murder someone, get caught, escape, then pretend to have hunting parties at my back for hours. It's ridiculously entertaining, especially when you have this group of four guards coming after you muttering "Don't do anything stupid.." and you merrily lead the unfortunate lot into a bunch of giants. Hilarity ensues.

I also laugh at throwing bodies down cliffs and then jumping after them just to see if they wind up in some funny position. Let's just say it's very difficult staying in character when you can roll people down-hill like a madman.

Maybe a character bent on doing that is a good idea.

I used to think I was the only one who held his breath when my character goes underwater.

In fact, I used to think I was the only one who did a lot of slow immersive stuff like actually walk in cities and that or who play their charcater rather than someone who does everything even if it makes no sense, but i`ve found there`s quite a lot of us. Even if a minority.

We few, we precious few...

I like to think our enjoyment hits a whole new level but I'm probably just fooling myself. I'm what in the pen and paper role playing community is called a "real lifer" . I figure out the details about my characters history and details and try to react as they would even if its mechanicaly pretty stupid sometimes,

Since I got the drinking animations mod came out I spend entirely too much time "having a pint" and listening to the bards. With the directors tools I activate the appropiate animation ( reading book, reading note note , lockpicking, drinking a potion, pray at the shrines etc), before doing the task.

For some reason I feel the need to hide dead bodies. For example, I'll move bodies off major roads or paths in to taller grasses. If a fire is nearby I'll throw the bodies in to the fire to destroy the evidence. If a bridge or cliff is nearby I'll just toss them over the edge to "hide" them. I'm not a big roleplayer but I still like the sense that I'm covering my tracks, and leaving no evidence behind. Imagine that bandit coming back to his fort after leaving to find some food and everyone is gone, with no traces of the bodies.... just the occasional blood splatter.
As a thief/assassin type character, I'd actually do something like that... hide the evidence.
Now, picture that bandit coming back to his fort and finding every one of his buddies nicely stacked in a big pile right in the middle of the courtyard... I think THAT would freak him out pretty good. I know I would freak out.

I have three sets of clothes... cold weather fur gear, in-town/forest gear, light leather gear.... wear hoods when it's cold or raining.... remove hoods when talking, entering buildings, remove bow and quiver in town... collect gems and place in bowls, kettles and pots in my house... used only weapons I picked up until I could craft elven bow and dagger and will use those for whole game... in off-hand I use the first steel dagger from the dungeon in Helgen.

As a Stormcloak... I have the helmet from the first Imperial officer I killed and I have swords and shield from my Imperials I've killed. I collect a souvenir from every Dwemer ruin I enter, a cup, bowl whatever... I also display a shield from every town I'm a Thane for, in my house.

I walk or ride horse in a hold and use wagon to go from hold to hold.... I use houses as weigh stations and interim storage... my home is the house is in Riften

I go in to uncontrollable fits of blood lust with one werewolf character in which I massacre entire villages and feed on the corpses until I am satiated.

I like to play Falmer sometimes, so when I run into them in Dwemer ruins, I will put on full Falmer armor and crouch down next to them in their huts for a while. I know that I sound like a stalker, and maybe I am a stalker, but I always leave a sweetroll behind as a present to, you know, let them know I was there at least.

I also experiment on them, to see their reactions.
One time I used Fus Ro Dah on a Falmer in Nchuand-Zel to push him off a ledge and into the water below, simply because I wanted to find out whether he would drown or not. He didn't drown (Falmer know how to swim), but my small experiment caused a minor bug. The Falmer kept running away from me after he'd found a way back up. He just let out that weird, strangled sounding cry whenever I came too close for comfort, and after some hissing in terror he fell down the very same ledge from before and hit solid rock that time.
It made me feel very guilty and my experiments have been less daring since.

I remember ya told me this :P, still say it's strange.

Hmm, let me think...

Normally when lost, switch to CV spell and let that lead me on it's merry way, normally the wrong direction... I also hate letting my Companions die, I actually feel need to load game and go back to earlier point. I was so relieved when ya found the woman in bunkhouse in Riften actually was a [censored], because her reaction bothered me. That's another one, I try actually make it clear I'm sorry somehow, if I had to hurt someone.

I travel with a companion solely for the purpose of picking up skill books for me. I don't read any of them, but I keep all of them in a chest, so no one else can read them. I suppose I will read them when the appropriate skill reaches 95, but it's mostly so no one can learn the things I'm learning.

Also, for the people who like to jump off things and see what happens, there is a wonderful spot in the Reach to satisfy this need. It's in the south near the border of Falkreath Hold...

I don't know that this is particularly weird, but I am fairly compulsive about removing any religious paraphernalia from Stormcloaks (I sided with the Empire) or Thalmor (they're pricks-I don't care who they're allied with) that I kill.

Whenever I encounter a bard in a tavern, I request they sing Dragonborn Comes and jump around to my song. Yes I am an idiot.

edit: character does, not me. lol

What are some weird things you do in Skyrim that you think only you do?

Me personally, I like to collect the souls of my enemies in Black Soul Gems and keep them in a chest in my house. I've never heard of anyone doing that.
Read the stories in my sig. I put them on display.

I don't charge soul gems myself. I think it's incredibly unethical. I use only already charged gems since they can't be saved at that point anymore.

Exactly same! lol!

Director`s tools?

But I also sometimes just sit down in a tavern (after getting my follower to take helmet off and do the same) while listening to music...

i used to do that in Morrowind lol. It was cooler back then because the soul gem would display their name.

They were like Dexters trophies. I had to give myself more Azura Stars with the console so that I could have Vivec and Almelexia soul gems side by side. Nothing like having the souls of gods stashed in your basemant.

Whenever I come across a dead khajiit (Or kill one). I carry the body all the way to the closest khajiit caravan, burn it on the campfire while pretending like the caravan merchants are joining me in a funeral for our fallen brother. and lay down their weapon as a gravestone.
