I saw the werebear part of the gamejam video. However I thought it was a reference to the man bear pig from south park.

It's actually in the lore, read "http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:On_Lycanthropy"

The werebear is already in the gamejam ... They should just throw it in dawnguard to some npc and release it ...

You're okay with content just being "Thrown in" without polish, precedence or context?

That's part of the reason I absolutely hate content mods, and a lot of DLCs. They never integrate themselves into the core experience in a way that makes the transition mostly seamless. That's what made Morrowind's expansions the best overall. Not only did the content deliver, it delivered it via a natural means. No magic radio signal or omnipotent journal entry. You had to ask around about "An Island to the North", or get attacked by the Dark Brotherhood.

Any idea if there will be a complement of werebeara in Dawnguard ? I personally think werebears could be berserk guys and since was in gamejam buti guess a direct involvement for them in a full story won't happen perhaps could be introduced with a secondary quest...
yes i heard for sure they are going to add werebears...

Screw were-bears,... When can we expect to play as were-rabbits?

My cover is blown...

Morrowind was a completed game , Skyrim is a rushed out product , all the stuff you saw in game jam in no way was done in a week , most was preplanned and done befoure but was justnot ready to be implemnted ingame ...

Won't be in Dawnguard but I bet we'll see werebears in future DLC.
Skyrim held the possibility of werebears, none was found, gamejam teased it, now we wait.

Here's Diablo II's werebear. It pretty much is a berserker. The Druid character is, for some reason, both a werewolf and a werebear...

And the Werebear in D2 svcked. The Werewolf form was so much better. More damage, more life, more life leech, attack faster, faster movement speed, etc.

Well whatever the case , if the Werebear will arrive ....

What shoudl be like , what powers in comparison to Werewolf and to Vampire ...

In my opinion should be a berserk like rage , something that is similar to the Orc power but instead turns you into a whole bear stronger than a werewolf, much stronger , but slower and less agile ...

Probably an exchange of mobility for sheer brute force and damage resistance. People are saying werewolves aren't supposed to tank hits, but I have a feeling the werebears might.

If they add werebears, Skyrim will be the first game since Daggerfall that will have more than one lycanthrope.

Yeah they should, or at least include them in a patch.

I disagree with this. Not that i don't want them in. I do. But, if they are going to add them, do it right. Don't just throw them in as an after thought. Do it right or don't do it at all.

I'm pretty sure Beth could modify the one in the game jam and add a few side quests for it in Dawnguard. I'm not expecting a werebear centric expansion.

I'm all for more were-creatures in general(as long as the follow the lore), but I like bears so I'm kind of biased.
