My main concern is that a player might not be able to attain full health without the help of a medic.
They won't be able to....just like in previous SD games. If they could, what's the point of a medic?
Another main one is that the operative might actually be able to be seen by enemy operatives, regardless of interrogation or not.
They can. Operatives can detect when enemy operatives are disguised. Although, it might be a skill that needs to be purchased.
The next is that friendly fire might default to off
I think it does, but it does in Bad Company 2 as well. If you want it on, just play games that have it enabled. (like I will be doing)
Next, if a player cannot reach full health, the light body type may not be able to fully regenerate, thus leaving him open to one shot kills.
It's already been stated that Lights have really low health. A knife slash will one-hit kill a Light without a health buff, but not a medium or heavy.
My greatest fear is that heavies will camp.
If you were built like a brick [censored]house, and were slow, would you move around a lot or stay in one spot? Camping hasn't really been a problem in previous SD games, and I don't see it happening here. If heavies camp, I see them camping near the objective, (which is appropriate) acting like human turrets. Besides, if you're playing a light, climb up and around them - and theres always a camper in every game, and I don't thnk body type will matter.
Fighting will be frontline-centric (ie flanking skill goes out the door, 99% of all encounters are down a corridor, enemies will camp down all other routes into the base)
What 'base' are you talking about? This isn't capture the flag...and the fighting is usually frontline-centric, as it will probably be centered around the objective at hand.
There will not be enough flanking routes.
it's only 8v8...how much flanking do you plan on doing? Besides, with the objectives, medics staying close to drop health and revive, soldiers dropping ammo, plus all the side missions....this isn't a "flank the enemy and spawn camp them till they all die" game. That beibng said, there will be flanking routes, usually accessed by a soldier destroying a barricade and accessing a shortcut.
I don't mind players following me, but it is more effective if the team splits up and flanks from all sides instead of wasting men via medic pairs. By this trail of thought, maybe there will only be at most two fights at once (because 2 of each class is recommended unless you can really do without two of another).
there you go with the flanking again...it's an objective game - the battle is going to be centered at the objective at hand, so why split up, since you all should be at the same point anyway...
