Yes, because spending one minute clicking on a conversation wheel to get specific bonuses was deeper?

It was a terrible minigame, at least you actually have to do SOMETHING to get people to follow you now, like some crappy mini mission. Mini mission>Crap minigame,
Yeah, exactly. The minigame was very bad, but at least you did not have to do some random mission. Also, people ether follow you or they don't in skyrim...

Well, we could say that it's an improvement over Morrowind and Oblivion's fault of followers.

I see what you mean. But the whole "radient story system" really does not seem to work... I mean I almost killed somebody before giving in, and when I got out of jail the person just did the notmal rubbish random response, not caring that I allmost killed them...

I agree with you. While I don't dislike the actual AI, it could have been much better.

The AI is very good, its just the limited amount of voice acting. (Yes, I know that sentence was exaggerated.)

I see this argument all the time, and simply, it's a bad one.

Games have been played by millions of people for years. Decades. Popularity in video games is not some new thing.
He was implying that Morrowind sold very bad.
4 Million in the early 2000′s isnt bad.
Do you seriously think that the amount of people which play computer games has not significantly increased in the last decade ?
I live in Germany and back then it wasnt exactly uncommon, but nowadays pretty much everyone within a certain age range plays computer games.
Leave alone the countrys where they werent even released at that time.
I only know that the amount of PC games sold has increased by a large margin every year in the last decade,
but I highly doubt console sales where in a recession during that time and countered that developement...

Actually, it's a good argument. Video games ARE more popular now than they were then. Last year video games made more than movies. That was most certainly not the case back when Morrowind came out. Not by a long shot.
