What kind of house would you build ?

What kind of house would you build were the option added to the game ?

I'd probably build myself a few hunting shacks in certain areas of Skyrim. I'd also build a nice log cabin somewhere really snowy and cold like Winterhold. Perhaps a manor in the plains of Whiterun hold as well. Probably build a house on the shore of the Sea of Ghosts as well. Be nice to wake up to fantastic views of the seemingly endless expanse of water as the sun rises.

This I think would be a very good addition for evil characters. Could build a dark manor way out in the middle of nowhere, full of cells and torture equipment and littered with the naked corpses of victims.

An impregnable fortress with a large subterranean cavern, and a tall lookout tower.

A strongh0ld fit for a mighty Crusader where I could employ many people into my service. Among them: Soldiers/guards, a mage or two to fill the role of "court" wizard, cooks, servants, a smith and traders with all the necessities a staff of that size would require.

Probably something similar to Vindrell Hall.... with multiple floors like Proudspire Manor.... and an armory like Hjerim..... A porch and fishing area like Honeyside.... and NOTHING.. that resembling a house that Lydia touched. That.. would be my house. OOO... and have to have an outside forge... with a smelter.... and a work bench.... and dancing candy canes... and a magical leoplourodon to give directions.

A stone walled horse breeding estate on a hill within the plains near Whiterun.
All built from stone for the thermal mass.
Steeply sloping roof to shed snow.
A large cross country course for riding my horses around.
A shrine to Kynareth.
Stone walled paddocks and a forested bridle path.
A spring-fed pond.
A hedge maze.
A carillon so I could practice the bardly art of campanology.
A tower with a small Dwemer telescope.
A running guar weather vane on top of my stable complex.

Wow, I could add to this all day. :P

A nice little shack, in the middle of Blackreach. Or a decent sized cottage somewhere in the Rift,or the Reach.

Same thing as I said in a fortress thread :

Coloured glass domes, and hues of marble, chased with obsidian and ancient-brass, towers that are privy to the winds' secrets, the whole glittering with sun-fire, or dancing to the music of that which falls through the stars.

A real Orc stronghold, one made of steel not wood. It would have everything. Also it should be placed right of Whiterun. On a hill as high as Dragonsreach is. It would have an under ground passage which went four directions: North, east etc... You would take this and you would appear in that area of the map say you went South it would take you to a secret wood cabin somewhere in the Rift. Not only Orcs could join though, it would be a city of Orcs + others.

A small cabin out in the middle of nowhere, far away from civilization, with a nice armory for all of my weapons.

Ohhhhhh, you mean what kind of house would I build in Skyrim.
Probably the same thing.... :P

A log cabin, a Dwemer house (like the ones outside Markarth), a big underground Dwemer ruin, and a couple of abandoned towers for that "living at one with the wilderness" feel. Oh wait, I've done that. I love the CK...

I want a big house like one of the colourful ones in Leyawiin (yes, from Oblivion). Drives me mental that I never found a good house mod that included one of those.

I already have the perfect in-game homes. (: A little place on the shores of Lake Ilinalta called Anorith's Shack (by Trapiki) for my Nord and the stately Dragon Falls Manor (by Mattcm919) for my Imperial.

Oh, and I want to add a Grand Ballroom where I can host masquerade balls.

I'd like a combination of my RL home and my modded home I made for Oblivion. Oh, plus a Telvanni organic treehouse for the kids - or the Argonian slaves - whatever...

A fortress in the mountains with a great view over the tundra. It would be a perfect location to place my orders HQ.

A fortress built on the back of a giant Dragon (a Titan Dragon?) who never grows weary or bored, the castle is huge and there a village of sorts, and Dragons would roam around the castle freely, with me as their Dragon Lord, and when i wished to return to the ground, i would ride one the more than willing Dragons to the bottom. In their tongue it would be known as Dovheim... Dragonforge!
