Damn you to Oblivion! LOL! I have been looking for one for my character for sometime. Oh, sure I could go the smithing route, but I so can use those points else where.

I don't know about chests, but at the end of the Farelhost (sp?) ruins near Riften, there is a Daedric armor briastplate lying on a table right after you fight a dragon priest and 4 Deathlords(tough). That's the only piece I've actually found in the game.

I was level 50 when I did this though. I'm not sure if your level determines what type of armor is lying on that table or not.

LOL well you know what you have to do, Bats! Go loot every Giant's chest now! I have to say though, my Glass Bows do way more damage right now, since I got that smithing perk. You are welcome to take my bow! =p Too bad it's not an MMO, eh?

I'm L70 and still don't see much Daedric stuff around. Even arrows are pretty darn rare. I could smith anything I want though so the thrill of finding something is pretty much non-existant on my first / main character.

i dont think you can get daedric armors from chests, maybe until lv 70+? Closest thing i saw is ebony and glass. Also dragon armors can only be made

Actually, you can find dragon armor. I found a pair of dragon plate boots. I don't recall where now.

Yup, I found Dragonscale mail and shields before as well, but on my lvl 56 character. Never on lower levels.

I found a deadric sword in the last chest of shimmermist grotto at level 4, likely a bug or the best freaking treasure chest ever.

My main is at lvl 53 and has only found one piece of dragon armor (a Dragon Plate shield) in the mid-40s, and just found a Deadric armor in one of those nice chests at the end of a dungeon where I also killed a Dragon Priest, found another Shout word of power, found a book for the College (the reason I went there), and levelled up to 52. That was a fulfulling dungeon.

Lol wow, only days after making this topic I run into a dungeon and get both a dragonscale helmet AND a Daedric helmet from seperate chests, and neither were in boss chests! So psyched now, even if it's only one piece of what I need I have a bit more faith in finding more. Also found 2 enchanted daedric bows in the Khajit caravan stock, but I didn't buy them because I want a raw bow I can put my own enchantments on and upgrade.

Step 1: kill animals for their hides.

Step 2: make leather and leather strips.

Step 3: mine/hoard iron ore/ingots.

Step 4: spam iron daggers and leather bracers.

Your smithing is levelled in no time.

I'm at 56 now...got a Daedric burning war axe from a chest just outside a forsworn camp to! And I've been getting a lot more daedric arrows, so I'll hopefully come across more Daedric stuff around 60-70.

I was wondering that aswell.

This is just a guess but Daedric Armor is found either in a (Master rank) chest, some type of chest, or crafted by yourself. Best way to get Deadric Armor is probally by getting your Smithing Skill up to level 100, then get the ingredients for the Armor and craft it yourself!

Not sure what level Daedric Armor appears in chests, just guessing here it would be around lv 70+ or not at all. I would recomend get all Daedric Armor then enchant the Legs with an enchantment, that allows you to walk around silently so that way your Deadric armor doesn't slow you down...or get level 70+ heavy armor and get that skill that makes the armor weigh nothing. Either way can't go wrong.

Level 59 with 100 smithing and never found anything other than Deadric arrows in chests, must be luck of the draw.
If I fell into a barrel of boobs I would come out svcking my thumb. :(
Yes...THIS ^^^^^^^ I am level 57 and have only found Daedric arrows. I have 1oo in Smithing, so I don't know if this affects finding random Daedric gear or not.

They tend to appear in draugr tombs as loots. I also got them as rewards for CW missions from General Tullius around level 60ish.

I am level 79 and I have never seen any daedric armor or weapons other than arrows in any loot or store. I saw a single dragonscale armor in a chest at level 78. If you want daedric or dragon armor you should level your smithing as finding a full set is virtually impossible. Now if you are happy with ebony or glass I see that [censored] all the time so you could definately find ebony/glass at higher levels without having to make it. With that said you should level the smithing and invest the perks since making your own [censored] to enchant how you want is way better than relying on what you find.

It's never going to be common. If you really want daedric the best thing is to become a smith. All things considered it's not that many points.

Havent found any either, but i did start finding Dragonscale armor parts around level 48. Never found the armor itself, though

? I was level 3 when I started seeing dragon armor stuff. It doesn't take a lot. The hardest thing to find is dragon scales and bones but that isn't even hard to find, kill a dragon.

OP I'm level 67 and I've only found two deadric items. A bow at the fletcher in solitude, I was level 48. A sword in a chest somewhere level 64. Deadric arrows are also at the fletcher's, I've been buying them since level 20 something, only like 1-5 at a time but once I hit level 60 I find that he sells close to 50 everytime. Also those big drawven robot things always have about 10 deadric arrows and you can get around 20 from Faendal's house in Riverwood.

If you have a conjuration skill of 90 you can get a quest from the college that gives you something that you can use to make deadric armor and weapons. You need a black soul gem, a piece of ebony armor or a ebony weapon of whatever it is you want to make and a centurion dynamo core and then you can make anything deadric.
