What a Lovely DLC I've walked into

I almost killed Follows-Chalk, too. I'm not certain how he survived the three or four lasers from the AER14 I lanced in his direction, but he did not seem to take offense or even show any signs of being hit.

It's pretty easy to go nuts on him, especially if you do so from a distance and don't really see his killing of that White Leg very clearly.

Wow. Add me to the growing list of people to also kill Follows-Chalk on accident. That's really funny -- here I thought it was just my luck.

I shot at him, but thankfully I missed.
I can easily understand how the mistake could be made.
At the beginning of the ambush the White legs came up non-hostile in VATS; didn't help.

OP, give it a chance.

Did the same thing with a Dead Horse Stalker, thinking he was a feral ghoul or something. Did the same thing again when I thought he was a White Leg. Damn tribals all look the same!

Lesson: check your targets.

THIS

if you are playing a DLC add-on it is reasonable to assume that you have at least played part of the original game. This is not an arcade game. If you shoot everything you see you rue the consequences. If you wanna be the badass of the badlands you're going to make a lot of enemies and miss a lot of content.

Face it. Like it or not these games are morality plays. You want to be evil? Fine. Sit down, tie on a napkin and eat your just deserts. Don't talk with your mouthfull

To be fair, as soon as I started the DLC I had to shoot a bunch of white legs (who were shooting back from different vantage points), I crossed a bridge and another one was shooting at me...of course I open up multiple shots and hit Follows-Chalk turning him hostile. I totally understand that happening. But come on, as soon as it says quest failed I reloaded and paid attention. I really can't blame the DLC if I choose to go bezerk on anything that moves. If you want a speed run through, you can do the entire DLC in less than one hour, but you miss the best part of this DLC, exploring. Releax, take your time and try to find all the little hidden things and you will definitely get your money's worth.

did you not stop to loot the 3 bags your dead party brought in with you. or there gear for weapons and ammo first. i do. guy accross bridge doesnt shoot till your across the bridge already. i wore my assasin suit from dm with the sneak mod added so it acts like the fo3 chinese stealth suit n just watched the fire fight. and then used my silenced sniper rifle to pick off remaining bad guys. and then took my time around map picking off bad guys leaving non bad guys alive.

I really don't understand why people blame the game for their mistakes. I got shot at when I walked across the bridge, but I shot the guy that shot me. he wasn't even doing any damage. I had plenty of time to kill him. Then before I could do anything I was taken into a dialog with follow-chalk.

The only way you really could of killed him is to run and gun. Without any regard for other targets.

I would say that the devs did make a design mistake with that event, but to not take responsibility for your own mistake, well is kinda dumb.

I can definitely see how people could mistake Follows-Chalk for an enemy. I myself was about to fire on him until I saw the non-red map thing.

I made this mistake as well i just seen triball and my instict was BOOM HEAD SHOT!!

i'm a PC player so i haven't played this yet, but why are so manny people killing this critical DLC NPC??

It's because
Spoiler
you're getting shot at from the far side of the bridge and the NPC attacks the shooter with a club. If you're too quick and shoot back it's easy to kill the NPC without realising and after that everyone hates you.
.

I did it the first time too but when the failed quests noticed appeared I realised something had gone badly wrong and restarted.

The moment I saw that I could imagine the ranting on the forums. Hehhehheee...
Poor sod would've taken a .308 jsp to the head if I hadn't noticed that he was attacking that white leg. Enemy of my enemy and all.

It′s kind of Funny, yes.
If you don′t pay attention, what is hard because everyone was excited to enter Zion,
then You are able to Finish the DLC in 20 min.

2 Quests will fail
Killed a lot of tribals
Never see the Burned Man
Collecting a Canyon Map
Return to Mojave with an BIG ? :whistling:

So PAY ATTENTION.....
DO NOT RUSH GUNS BLAZING INTO ZION!!!
This Could Be U --------> :gun: :flamed:

Happy Hunting
Iron Lion Zion
isn't that MORE THAN TWO quests that will fail?
