Ok so I wanted to make doubly sure I wasn't remembering things through rose colored glasses and so I re-watched the videos, which to my knowledge haven't changed. I noticed they are almost all from the PC version of the game judging by the anti aliasing and the light sourcing. Now honestly do you expect the PC version to look the same as the graphically underpowered consoles? As for the dual pistols I saw that in one cinematic and never once, not once, new build or old, did they show it in game play footage. The only differences I noticed in game play footage were some cosmetic differences, which could be due to the fact that I play on PS3 and it renders textures worse than a PC, and a few routes which no longer exist, like the bypass above the side door in container city.
To expect a game to play like a cinematic trailer is like expecting your Scion TC to morph into multiple models as it goes along the road, or your Droid phone to transform because that's what it shows in the commercial. Come on. Take a little responsibility here. If you were disappointed it's YOUR fault, not Splash Damage, not Bethesda, YOU. I mean seriously the fact that the videos were all in third person, should have been a clue that this was not game play footage of a FPS. That dog don't hunt. I don't care if a thousand people were documented as saying that the game didn't look like what they thought they were purchasing. All that shows is that there are a thousand people out there that can't apply a little critical thinking and differentiate between game play footage and advertising cinematics.

(Take note also in pretty much all of these videos across youtube there are many comments saying; this isnt the game I bought... or, this looks allot better than the game I bought...or I wish the game looked like this)
Those videos of container city gameplay were of the old build of the game and are not the same as the release game... They have different textures (the new build uses a new way of rendering the ID 5 engine is going to use, which may be another reason why the new build is demanding on hardware) and lighting and looked more realistic and had different effects and explosions, the game was re-developed to look more cartoony and if we compare container city to this gameplay from the old build to what it is now it was originally a night time map and was dark with lights everywhere, and complete different lighting, aswell as different less colorful textures and looking more 'clear' and realistic, as it is now its sunny and has different textures that are more colorful and cartoony with complete different 'musky' lighting. The game play also looked abit more smooth and less clunky and cartoony like it is now and is also missing nearly all the effects from the old build and has different anitmations (you may like the game as it is now so do I, BUT it IS a different build from them videos that allot of people preferred)
And no, there is a PS3 game play video and an Xbox game play video, also using the PS3/Xbox controller in each one, the Xbox was slightly darker, but both were technically good on the consoles (good AA and higher resolution and more smooth). They are not of the PC that is how the old build performed on the consoles, Ino allot better than the retail game probably due to the new type of rendering they chose to make it look cartoony and changing the game from what it was originally meant to be making it poorly optimized. Both gameplay videos were from 2009 from the clearly different old build of the game and in the commentary they make referenace to someone making the right choice and stick a piece of paper saying so on the back of their chair with 2009 written at the bottom of it. These videos which consequently got released recently before release on the Xbox and PS Store with 'BRINK 2011' at the end of them which was off the old build and different looking game and not the retail game, and is still there, its not the same game, its the same base but its not the same game, its the old build and different.
I never said I was disappointed, personally I prefer the new cartoony look and feel even if it doesn't perform well or technically look near as good on the consoles , but I was just saying that is why allot of people didnt get what they thought they were going to get when they bought the game, because the thought they were going to get the old build of the game which was different, and if you even look at the comments of the different video's on youtube you will actually see allot of people said that. And these videos were released in 2009 which is ok BUT they were also released on the Xbox/PS Store shortly befroe release with 'BRINK 2011' at the end and are still there, and are still on the main website and sneakily pushed by SD/Bethesda.
End point it is a different build of the game (even in some places the maps are different e.i. in container city under where the crane takes the bot to the other side there was a command post and the cut through to the side stairs was blocked off) and had different textures completely different lighting appeared more smooth was less cartoony and more realistic, had more and different effects and explosions looked technically allot better on consoles and looked better to the game now to allot of people and were released and pushed shortly before release making people think they were getting a different game than they got.
Also regards to the trailer, I never ever expect a cinematic trailer to look like the game lol all I said was;
"[Consiquently showed and made a big deal out of lights running and killing with dual pistols looking sick, dual pistols that arent in the actual game :/
Ino its just a trailer but..... why]
They made a big thing about dual pistols in the trialer and half of it is someone using them, im just saying I dont no another trailer for a game that shows something as simple as content and making a big deal out of a weapon that isnt in the actual game, theres just no reason to really, and like I said I dont no another game that has done the same with their trailer by showing you a completely different weapon set up that isnt in the actual game just to make it look cool.
