I've heard someone ask Tonilia at the Ragged Flagon about her and Brynjolf. I couldn't hear her answer, though, because someone else started talking to me.

Down in the Cistern, I heard Vipir the Fleet hitting on Sapphire.

Vipir: "Is there anything I can do for you, Sapphire? Or more to the point... to you?"
Sapphire: "You're the only man I know who took his nickname from his prowess in the bedroom."
Vipir: "Damned cow!"

I laughed a lot.

I detected some sixual tension between Ulfric and Galmar Stonefist....

I haven't, but I must admit it's hard not to notice the total absence of women in Palace of the Kings. And isn't it a bit odd that a ruler who's well over 40 hasn't got married, having heirs should be important for him, shouldn't it? (Or has he been married? Anyone knows?)
Two possible conclusions come to mind:
1. What some of you already have mentioned. Ulfric & his boys have no interest in women whatsoever,
or
2. Ulfric really likes his bachelor life and probably has no problems finding willing women, should he like to (the blacksmith's apprentice would surely like to pay him a nightime visit, judging from how she goes on about him... That girl has a major crush!)

Came across a small camp where
Spoiler
there was a Nord or Breton girl who ran away with a male Dunmer from her family. Only problem, they camped near two Sabre cats.

Yeah, that's near Soljund's Sinkhole. And for me there are always bears there. One more reason for my mission of hunting bears to extinction in Skyrim!

I have found no references to any marriage (or resulting children) in Ulfric's past. But keep in mind that he was with the Greybeards from some point in his childhood until the Great War broke out, then he was fighting in the war, then he was a POW being held by the Thalmor until after the sack of the Imperial City in 4E 174. By 4E 176 he's leading the fight to retake Markarth from the Forsworn, after which he spends an unknown number of years in prison for Talos worship.

When he got out of the pokey and returned to Windhelm he immediately took his deceased father's place as Jarl, and presumably has spent most of his time and energy since then on efforts to secure Skyrim's independence (there is some dialogue in the game that indicates the armed Stormcloak rebellion has been going on for some time, I'm not really sure how that figures into the timeline of Torygg's death and Ulfric's capture, but still).

Not that there hasn't been any time in there for romance of some kind, or just plain old recreational six, but I suspect that meeting and courting a suitable spouse is a bit more complicated for a member of the nobility than it is for many of Skyrim's available singles, lol. Plus he spent much of his youth in places/situations where courtship and marriage wasn't even an option, and since then I suspect it's not very high on his list of priorities. He's got other fish to fry at the moment and he seems pretty single-minded about frying them.

Except in my game, where we've already won the war and will be tying the knot in Riften as soon as I can get my act together and get over there and arrange it. Yay mods!

Oh, yeah, how's the bachelorette party going? :P

(no mod solution: in my game it's possible he might get married sometimes beyond the events of the game, with a certain Dragonborn who just joined his rebellion and kind of made an impression already - unless she decides to just have an affair and then marry someone else. I'm not sure yet. :P)

Keep checking his bed in the Palace. Once you get far enough along in the war (altho I'm sure it's near the end or not until after Solitude), you'll be more than welcome in it. :D

But oy, the party! Someone needs to mod in a party planner or something. So I've been to Ysgramor's Tomb and taken care of business there, went home to Windhelm afterwards. Have a lot of loot to sort through (not to mention all the stuff I've just been dumping in a chest in Breezehome, yikes, forgot about that), got to get Ulfric's special wedding present ready, pick up Stenvar, then he and Calder and Argis and I were gonna go back to Whiterun and wait for everyone else to get their Magic Console Invitations and come to the party. But now I realize I will probably need to go to Solitude to buy the dress I want, argh. I think Cosnach is there so we might just pick him up at the same time. No, wait, he's in Markarth, right? Well he'll have to find his own way then.

Not sure if we'll walk back and pick up Erik in Rorikstead or not, I'm guessing we'll be taking a lot of carriage rides.

Anyway the plan is to get everything sorted and ready to go on my end, then get back to Whiterun with as many followers in tow as I can pick up on the way. The rest I will console to my location and ask them to follow me, then we'll all go to the Bannered Mare (might wanna tap a few extra kegs, Hulda!) and have drinks with Sam and many hijinks will ensue. I'm already wondering how I'm going to get through that entire quest with so many followers in tow, I may have to release some of them as we make our way across the country. I would take them all to Riften for the wedding but I think I'd have to take them in the temple the day before and tell them to sit down and then just leave them there, don't you get locked into the wedding animation as soon as you walk through the door on the big day?

I dunno. I'm rather curious to see who'll show up at the wedding on their own so I may release everybody just beforehand. We'll see.

I once traveled with Lydia to Solitude. I told her to idle in the Winking Skeever whilst I rented a room. I then heard this exchange:
Woman: "I haven't seen you in a while."
Lydia: "Its been a while."
Man: "Hey ladies, you looking for a big, strong man to keep you company?"
Woman: "Yeah, we sure are. You let us know when you see one  "
*Paraphrasing because its been a while since I heard it.

I'm almost positive I saw a reference to Vilkas saying this in Whiterun, I think the PC was standing outside with Lydia and there were other female NPCs around and Vilkas walked by and said "is there anything a big strong man can do for you ladies?" and he got pretty much the same response from one of them.

I would give almost anything to hear him say that, he always seems so broody and serious and it would be hilarious plus lighten him up just a little bit.

You never know. Ulfric does have a flavor saver.

What about that guy who follows Mjoll around?

Yeah. That dude even creeps me out! I hired Mjoll (but had to dump her because she friggin' annoyed me to death with her fantasies about how awesome she used to be) for a while just to tear her away from that guy and see if I could find out anything. What I found is that Mjoll is basically as sharp as a marble so she doesn't recognize a freak when she sees one. I bet that guy sits up and stares at her while she's sleeping... muttering incantations of lustful joy and giggling to himself.

He reminds me of this guy I knew. I had dated a girl he was really interested in (we broke up but were still friends), but she had no interest in him at all. He wouldn't talk to me directly at all, and followed her around the convention floor the entire time (a group of us were at an anime convention) like some kind of puppydog.

That's really creepy.

Tonilia and Vekel the Man (the bartender) are a couple, and apparently she's having an affair with Brynjolf. :nono:

There's also a quest where someone wants you to murder their ex. oh, the soapiness. :P

Another one:

Female innkeeper at Moorside Inn in Mothal to Alva: "What can I get you?"
Alva:"What CAN'T you get me, sweetie?"
I think they continued with a few lines that made it sound even more ambigious, but I don't remember the words.

Alva has also greeted my female character with "aren't you the pretty one", but that sounded more like she wanted to mark her territory, not flirt.

Spoiler
Alva is of course a vampire, but she's pretty seductive, so you never know...

Well, some jarls are harder to catch than others. Ever thought it was a little too easy to become thane of Whiterun? That Balgruuf is a little too eager to promote you? Check his bed and you'll understand what he really wants!

I often wondered about Balgruuf the Greater and his Housecarl. The Jarl does have three kids but no wife, though his wife had to have been a Nord since his kids are.

My guess is that he's a widower.

(Has he really three kids? I've only encountered two, the "lick my father's boots"-boy and the "are you the new servant?"-girl.)

On my ps3 there is this redguard couple in Markarth, it might be completely innocent but their child is not a redguard. I have some suspicions about it.

Yup. There's a third, Nelkir, who doesn't show his face in the main hall very often. He's involved in the quest "The Whispering Door" and has some interesting things to say about his father as part of it...ask Hulda at the Bannered Mare about rumors when you hit level 20 or so.

Nelkir mentions that he had a different mother to the other two kids so Baalgruuf may have been married twice or had a mistress as well as a wife
