Same powers as the Cyrodiilic vampires! Don't get me wrong, I loved the eyes the vampires in Skyrim currently have(check my avatar, it is the same eye color and iris and pigmentation). I have a feeling Betheda is going to remove those eyes with the brightly abnoxious Dovahkiin eyes seen in the wallpaper -_-.

I just want my Cyrodiilic vampires to be Cyrodiilic! Make Vampire Lords the Volkihar!

I think they're doing away with the fangs as well, from the looks of it. But maybe they'll only show up at certain levels of vampirism now, though. I'm not too thrilled with the idea of fangless vampires. :meh:

I think they said that you would be no longer attacked at stage 4, but only in Vampire Lord form. Not 100% sure though.

How do you know this?

Personally in my opinion, the current "Volkihar" we have should be renamed to Cyrodiilic Vampire. And we should have an additional vampire power called "Reign of Terror".

I hope they don't bring back the wrinkled vampire face from Oblivion. That was horrible, but I do hope for different looks in the progressing stages.

I don't really like the fact that you're eyes are permanently changed. They should turn that way only at certain times. Wouldn't people figure out that other people with yellow eyes are vampires?

The guy in the trailer (who I'm guessing is Harkon) doesn't appear to have fangs, though it might mean nothing. A lot of vampire NPCs in vanilla don't have noticeable fangs, either. Though I think the eyes will only be for those who are vampire lords, since I see nothing that suggest otherwise. I think someone should ask about the fangs, but I wouldn't see any reason they would not do fangs for at least the player. Like I said, there is a possibility that the appearance of fangs could be limited to certain situations and levels of vampirism.

Also, I wonder what they're doing instead of making NPCs hostile at the final stage of blood hunger, anyway? I hope it will be more than just a few stat changes and no regeneration in sunlight.

If we look like harkon, then I'm happy. The eyes look great and give off a predator vibe.

In the trailer you see a vampire bite somebody in the neck, so they must have fangs.

I mean fangs as in they actually appear on the character models. I've seen the trailer.

It's been confirmed that females get their own models for the vampire lord bat form. We don't know about unique race models yet, though.

Accepted. As I've said before, vampire NPC's don't always have noticeable fangs, so I don't know if we can really draw any conclusions. Wonder if Pete Hines might have an answer?

I honestly think they're taking a good step with these Vampires. Stage 4 has a bad enough set of cons that outmatch the pros... it'd make more sense to be attacked as a Vampire Lord.

From the trailer we can see you grabbing a merchant and biting the neck so I'm guessing a mechanic to feed on non-sleeping enemies. What I'd hope to see is feeding to maintain your powers rather then disguise your form.(we had nine clans in daggerfall that could walk about town at night). So the new vampire outside of Lord form would work like this.

Stage One: Feed in past 24 hours
? You have a 100% Resistance to Frost.
? You have a 100% Weakness to Fire.
? While outside during daylight, Health, Magicka, and Stamina have an automatic -60 to their total.
Stage Two: 24 Hours without blood
? You have a 75% Resistance to Frost.
? You have a 75% Weakness to Fire.
? While outside during daylight, Health, Magicka, and Stamina have an automatic -45 to their total.
Stage Three: 48 Hours without blood
? You have 50% Resistance to Frost.
? You have a 50% Weakness to Fire.
? While outside during daylight, Health, Magicka, and Stamina have an automatic -30 to their total.
Stage Four: 72 hours without blood
? You have a 25% Resistance to Frost.
? You have a 25% Weakness to Fire.
? While outside during daylight, Health, Magicka, and Stamina have an automatic -15 to their total.

You have to feed regularly to maintain your powers, the longer you go without blood the weaker your abilities become and the greater your weaknesses, but as a trade off your weakness are also less pronounced when your vampiric powers are weaker. In essence you reverse the stages you begin at stage four.
One could also reverse the weaknesses but that feels like a little much.

You know... to be quite honest I don't think that the vanilla Vampires are going to have any improvements. But I guess we'll have to wait and see since no one at Bethesda has said anything beyond upgrading to Vampire Lord.
