What does my character do for fun? He spends hours and hours alone, pretending to be a flabby underachiever who has real difficulties with his relationship, his finances, and his general self-defeating approach to life. It's a change of pace from being a super-powered heroic wizard.

What do I do in Skyrim for fun? Slaughter entire camps of Forsworn.

go to the tavern listen to music and pick a fight. Ahh how society has changed.

They seem to enjoy shouting you never should of come here and staying up all night sitting in a chair.

I think the OP was talking about the residents of Skyrim, not you the player.

They'll do what any communities anywhere else would have done during that time period - (or the one it's anologous to) - many of them would have led extremely harsh lives of grinding poverty punctuated by bouts of disease and fighting. Entertainment would have been limited to dancing, singing, storytelling, and drinking - though bear in mind that beer was drunk pretty much by everyone because you were less likely to die if you drank it than you were if you drank the water.
You would have itinerant storytellers and musicians - (bards), and yes "hedge wizards" selling potions and doing conjuring tricks. Games would have been simple and probably would have involved hoops and tag and that kind of thing.
If you were rich you would have had more leisure time so hunting, falconry, and that sort of thing would have been popular pastimes.
Life would have been a lot more serious because it was A Lot More Serious, certainly more so than early 21st century America or Western Europe.

Drink, wander around town aimlessly, talk, eat bread, play tag, play hide-and-seek, kill, hunt, give giants fancy cows, kill, fist fights, steal, obsessing over death, worshipping daedra, and kill.

Arrange your houses with trophies. In addition to Daedric artifacts, I like Centurion dynamo cores and gold Dibella statues.

I enjoy decapitating people and then dragging em up a mountain and letting em fall down, that's just me though, or bringing delphine to the throat of the world just to use unrelenting force on her so she goes flying off the cliff, i hate that [censored] lol

How do you make them stay? sometimes they do for me but most of the time things i leave in my house end up on the floor somehow. (damn housecarls are useless)
