Personally, I don't think you can beat Steady Hand, Level 12. Immensely satisfying.

"Avoid Death" in Restoration. It saved me a-few times.

Dual enchantments. You can make insanely good gear with that.

Interesting question. I guess one could play the game without putting any perks down...

Extra pockets. The +100 carry weight combined with another +100 from the steed stone means you never have to worry about encumbrance again. For mages, it means you never have to waste level up points on stamina.

Damn, personally I hate Steady Hand. I feel like I'm less accurate when the arrows aren't flying their full speed. Different strokes for different folks.

Or embarrassing Heimskr by making him try to preach the word of Talos in his undies.

Extra Pockets.
(even if you're not a thief, just train Pickpocket up to 50 and rejoice)
Also, I'd say a lot of the Lockpicking perks are pretty much worth it, since chests are everywhere.

Interesting, I pick lots of locks and find the whole lockpicking tree useless. Good to know at least one person likes it. =3

There is no such perk.

But if I had to choose, I'd go with Extra Pockets. It's useful for every type of character.

Arcane Blacksmith is a close second, but robe-wearing mages won't ever use it so it's definitely not everybody's must-have.

None of them are useful for all characters, but nothing has felt as good to me in this game as the first decapitation.
Though respite seems to be the most useful, you can run forever apart from anything else.

I agree with the thought that there is no such perk.

It's all in the build.

I don't think a single perk mentioned thus far has been one that I've taken, or even considered.

After three characters, I think I can say that there's no single perk all characters should have. The one I find most useful has to be archane blacksmith. There are plenty of good reasons not to take it... but for the cost of two perks, you're definately getting your money's worth.

Double enchantment. It took me almost 400hrs to get there, really can't believe how good it is. Does however make quite a few of the other perks redundant.

I have 100 lock-pick skill but haven't invested so much as a single perk into the tree. Might have something to do with the fact I must have spent 100's of hours lock-picking over the Fallout series that I have become intuitive at it.

I returned it just so I could finish the quest. I wanted to spawn another one, but then I saw the Unbreakable perk, so either way, you can get unbreakable lockpicks. Yay!

I don't want to waste perks though. I already am going to use 72 perks. Gotta save the other 8 for that Werewolf Perk Tree, if it comes out.

1st perk in the restoration tree, even if you don't take the second ( which in my mind is better). All three of my char types have at one time or the other had to use the "healing" spell, when potions ran out. It's meant life or re-load a couple times.

My warrior with no added points to magic benifits from this the most. Mage, at lower lvl's benifits. Thief/assassin benifit's a great deal, at low lvl's

Really? I can pick master level locks using only about 10 lockpicks, so I don't see why I should get any lockpicking perks. But I know some people hate lockpicking on this game so that's fair enough.

Double Enchantment. Every type needs strong enchantments, and it′s not hard to capture a soul, and being able to place 2 enchantments on one item can′t be compared to anything else.

It is part of the pick pocket tree not the lockpick tree.
The extra carrying capacity is huge for a compulsive looter.
