What the players want...

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:19 am

This is a topic where people post what they want to see in possible skyrim dlc/expansion packs.
So....... What do you want to see?
A very simple topic really, one or two word answers would be appreciated.

I want an arena mode, not necessarily a multiplayer (But that would add to the fun), but just a mode where you can skip the adventuring, and just fight.

There should be improved combat, not the poorly deisgned combat that is found in skyrim. I want something deeper than that, actual tactics in those fights.

Parrying, different types of slices, stabbing. Spell making, combining spells midfight. Have a spy vs spy mode where two assassins face off.

hardcoe mode: limited potions/potions over time, degradation of equip, no auto-heal, weather/racial/equip penalties, no fast travel available, penalties for no sleep/eat, diminishing skills for non-use, no real-time pause.

i also would like the options for the hud/settings fixed so that they are separated. i'd like to see the player location icon be optional on the map.

an optional difficulty slider bar.

the ability to move unwanted quests to another menu page. the ability to store possible quest items in a specific location.

edit: ah, and a horse whistle.

I was watching a video about a week where Bethesda added content to the game and in that video was mounted combat and a lycanthropy perk tree among many other things but i think those would be pretty cool

Crafting is one of my favorite things in Skyrim. Specifically smithing. I would anything that enhanced the crafting within Skyrim. Particularly, I'm interested in being able to smith out more types of items. For example, I'd like to be able create regular clothing of multiple types, and it'd be interesting if there was some payoff to this (like wearing fine clothing in nice areas of Skyrim would affect how the game reacts to the player). And It would be nice if there were more options to choose from for each type of armor. When I go to smith a steel helmet, for example, I would like to be able to choose embellishments and different kinds of looks. I can understand all imperial armor or deadric armor looking the same but there really should be a smorgesbord of choices when it comes to iron and steel armors (and weapons). If it's not a standard issues uniform (like the imperial armor) then it should be much more malleable. So, I guess what I'm saying is I'd like a crafting expansion pack.

More spell tomes, Khajiiti in space, some recognition from npcs and the world that whatever I did to save the npcs and the world is recognised and made a difference. And some more spell tomes, and with spells that are more interesting than 'half fire damage, half frost damage'. And then even more Khajiiti in space, or at least on the moons.

I'm most interested in storylines, so I'd like (very) long questlines, maybe a new guild with a lot of drama and plot twists, skill requirements to advance, and some advanced options of guildmaster management (ie recruiting and expelling members, sending member groups in missions, sabotageing the other~concurrent~guilds)

A new game? J/k

Yeah story lines are great especially when they answer questions or are about existing lore.

Things I would like
  • More Magic: Spells, spell combinations, spell effects, spell creation, leveled spells... a combination of any of those.
  • More weapons: Just for choice purposes, I'd love to see flails though
  • WereBears
  • Better quality quests with more chances for actual roleplaying
  • Buildable houses.
  • Movable platforms in dungeons

I'd like to see the joinable Great Houses again, like in Morrowind. With the chance of building your own stronghold like those had. I really miss that!

Khajiit kids would be cute also.

Anyway, I like the idea of a horse whistle, that would be something added to my favorites.

One way ticket to Elsweyr!

Yay

Edit : I think it would be awesome to visit at least some part of Cyrodiil, going down memory lane in awesome graphics would tickle my fancy :o

Lol.

and in addition for the One-way ticket to Elsweyr, my guy need's a Khajiit wife to complete my Role playing :|
that disapointed me when i first learned all races were available for marriage besides the one i needed.... and Bosmer.

I want to know why so many two handed weapons are governed by the 1 handed perks. It svcks that I made a 2 handed user and I'm limited to either generic magic items or Volundrun(Sp?) while 1 handed users pretty much get the pick of the litter.

One thing i'd also absolutely love is the abilitiy to add little side notes and annotations to quest journals, so you can write down puzzle combinations as you discover them or a reminded to get X item from X quest dungeon (this would be fantastic for remembering to pick up "unusual Gems" from quest locked areas) plus it would be a great way to look at character developement if you can look back at your logs after finishing the game.
