Well Ill remake my Xarnac The Conqueror, an alian from the BetelGuese Solar System. He looks like Orson Welles with an orange tan and a blue pompadour. He uses science and energy weapons to conquer the Wastes. He uses slave collars to imprison humans to do his bidding and is mostly hostile to any he crosses.

Allso ill remake Texas Creek Johnson, my cowboy character. hes a cliche good guy of sorts, which should fit better in the western setting of New Vegas then he did in DC.

I really have no clue at this momment anymore, still think melee / sneak / survival would be interesting to see how different NV is.
Knowing me however I will start 30 characters in the first few months / days.

Im ganna be my guy from Fallout 3. His name is Jack and his favorite things to do are killing bad guys and helping others. He had to get out of the capital wasteland beacuase he was tired of that place and he thought the BOS had everything in hand. He just wants to live a quiet life until he was shot in the head. Now he is pissed and ready to find out why and who who tried to kill him. Hes ganna be witht the NCR and kill every last Ceaser Legion trooper he finds and sees. He lost dog meat a couple of months before he was shot and is still trying to find he faithful friend. His best friends are Marcus and Raul. Every super mutant fears him and runs in fear away from Jack.

His favorite wepons are the sniper rifle, lever action rifle, assult gun, and LMG

His taged skills are:
Small guns
Lock pick
Speech

Name: Harry Green
About: Harry was a young, ambitious man who began working a courier job in order to save up some money to head to California and go to school. Unfortunately, Harry was intercepted by a group of men whom shot him in the head. Although Doc Mitchell was able to patch up his bullet holes, some parts of Harry were lost. And I'm not just talking about his memory...He lost quite a bit of his intelligence too. Luckily though Harry still knows how to operate a gun.
Tagged Skills:
-Small Guns
-Speech (for the lulz)
-Melee Weapons

After that I'll do some serious playthroughs with an NCR guy, a CL guy, and a guy siding with Mr. House (Harry's going to be against everyone, including House).

My character will be a james bond like character, using what he can and being as smooth as he can. His luck will be high, and his agility higher.

I'm thinking of making somewhat of an Action Survivior, a normal person that got thrown into this abnormal situation but ends up surviving the whole thing anyway. He would be an ordinary guy with extraordinary luck, or just be above average in all stats, but not by much. So for option 1 his Luck would 10 and everything else would be 5, and for option 2 all his SPECIAL stats would be 6. I would probably play on hardcoe mode with this character.

Tagged skills would be whatever skills Doc Mitchell suggests, but i might switch one of them for Survival if i dont get it.

I'm either gonna side with the NCR or, if possible, not join any faction and stay neutral.

I'll carry over Strelok, my STALKER inspired character from Fallout 3. He's a bald slavic looking guy just like Strelok from Shadow of Chernobyl.

He's obviously quite skilled with guns of all kinds, but he favors rifles and likes modifying his weapons. Prior to being paradigm-shifted into the Fallout universe, Strelok was one of the most experienced STALKERs in the Chernobyl Exclusion zone. His abilities of dodging radiation pockets and slaying mutants made him a natural fit for the fallout's post apocalyptia, although he had a bit of trouble picking up English. (Dukov helped him out with that.)

He crafted his own army out of the Raiders of the wasteland and holds territories in Evergreen mills and the Springvale School among other locations. He has good relations with most major factions of the wasteland, having redirected the Raiders from their normal activities of harassing settlements and knocking over Caravans to raiding Super Mutant and Enclave bases and even offering escort services to caravaners. He tries to maintain neutral relations with the wasteland, helping the Brotherhood and the Outcasts at the same time. He does his fair share of slaving but he also helped the slaves of the Temple of the Union take over the Lincoln Memorial. He does this because he wishes to maintain sectarian balance of power so as to create a more politically stable wasteland.

His army of indoctrinated Raiders known as "Monolith" is just the tip of the iceberg of his plan. In studying the mesmetron he found the device similar to the mind controlling devices known as "Brain Schorchers" found in the zone. His final goal in the Capital Wasteland is to take over the Washington Monument, and rename it "The Wish Granter" after the C-Consciousness powered artifact from the Zone. Then he aims to use the mesmetron, his technical knowledge of the brain scorcher waves, and the transmitter at the top of the tower to mind control the entire population of the capital wasteland, forcing them to unite under the banner of Monolith and craft a new era of prosperity.

However, Brotherhood control of the facility was a major obstacle. His requests to take control of the facility were repeatedly denied by Elder Lyons. Knowing that attacking the Monument outpost would result in all out war with the brotherhood, and the destruction of the very stability he wanted to create, he found himself at an impasse with his own goals.

So Strelok procured a Vertibird and set off out west to find some answers. Perhaps out west he could find a transmitter dish that could be attached to one of the many other transmitter towers. This would not have the symbolic significance of the Washington Monument, but would be a stepping stone to its peaceful control by Monolith.

After being swept away by a storm, he crash landed in New Vegas and was pulled out of the wreckage by Victor the Robot. And so Strelok's New Vegas adventure begins.

There is no equivalent.
And Survival is not the new Outdoorsman.

Is it not?

Oh I assumed it was similar, however I knew it was about the crafting as well...

Oh yes, I see it now.

Nope.
Survival gives you more health from eating and drinking and let's you cook better stuff at campfires.

Outdoorsman... Well.. Let me just copy paste some wikia info:
The Outdoorsman skill's job is to decrease the likelihood of bad random encounters with the possibility of increasing the odds of special encounters. In Fallout 2, a succesful outdoorsman check will give you the choice of whether or not to have an encounter at all. This does not apply for special encounters however. You are forced to enter the scene.

And from personal opinion, it seems that you travel a little faster with higher outdoorsman, or maybe that's just my imagination.

Anyway, the two skills really have nothing in common with each other.

IMO they should have renamed Survival to Cooking and split the crafting feature into it's own skill as well. (Crafting ammo, weapons, armor(?))

My character will be an idealistic and cultured hardcoe NCR supporter. He will have the Republic because her truly believe in there ideals of bring civilization and democracy back to the wasteland. His impressive small guns combat tactics is own suppressed by him charisma and speech skills that can turn situations to his own advantage.

SNIP

Excellent! Another good ol′ Stalker here as well.

Your roleplay could work but the problem is that the game might invent a backstory for the courier, so you can only hope you wont have 2 dads and moms ;)

I normally play lawful good characters, but my first two in NV will be chaotic good.

First will be a sociable character, with more resources put into speech, charisma, etc. at the expense of combat skills. Lots of talking, problem solving, avoiding combat. When combat is unavoidable, she is strait forward with it...no sneaking around, but with care and precision. This character will lean more towards neutral good, probably, with a greater respect for individuals than institutions.

Second character, also basically chaotic good, will lean more toward evil. Poor social skills, disinterest in society generally. Resources geared towards sniper type combat and lone wandering. Sneak, hacking/picking/stealing, survivability. Spends much time away from town, away from people. Might help someone then rob them. Probably shoots first and never asks questions. Revolutions require bloodshed, and sometimes folks have to take one for the greater good...other folks, that is.

My favorite character so far is Professor Murda. He looks like an angrier version of Kimbo Slice and his tag skills are Guns, Explosives, and Melee Weapons. His traits are Kamikaze and [redacted]. He kills everyone and everything he comes across immediately. He also eats all food immediately upon receiving it. Playing him is an exciting adventure.

If Professor Murda is real, I want him as a companion.

Actually, My First will be a very bad character and the second will be good.
First will be expert in explosives, repair, big guns.
