what if you could be crowned emperor or someone else and bro

They sort of did, actually. When the Greybeards name you Dragonborn.

Lingrah krosis saraan Strundu'ul, voth nid balaan klov praan nau.
Naal Thu'umu, mu ofan nii nu, Dovahkiin, naal suleyk do Kaan, naal suleyk do Shor, ahrk naal suleyk do Atmorasewuth.
Meyz nu Ysmir, Dovahsebrom. Dahmaan daar rok.

Long (in) sorrow (has) waited (the) Stormcrown, with no worthy head to rest on.
By our Voice we give it now (to you), Dragonborn, by (the) power of Kyne, by (the) power of Shor, and by (the) power of Atmora-of-old.
(You have) become now Ysmir, Dragon of the North. Remember these words.

or as translated by Arngeir:
Long has the Stormcrown languished, with no worthy brow to sit upon.
By our breath we bestow it now to you in the name of Kyne, in the name of Shor, and in the name of Atmora of Old.
You are Ysmir now, the Dragon of the North, hearken to it.

You are Ysmir now, the Dragon of the North.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ysmir was already an exalted figure in the Nordic lore. That's like
Spoiler
the Champion of Cyrodill becoming Sheogorath.
I'm not going to say they're not going to be able to cop out, but it'd be a little more difficult.

Kind of like Nerevarine?

if I were Emperor I would have a Warrant out for any surviving blades members. I'd also form a more... Permanent bond, or at least attempt to form a bond, with the Thalmor. If I managed that than I would be able to put an end to the Stormcloak rebellion. Even if it meant wiping out all the towns in Skyrim, I would. I'd leave Talos banned, have any statues of him beheaded, and basically Caligula the place up until I die. I wouldn't be a nice ruler...

Why would you want a better bond with the thalmor?? They committed atrocities

I'd disband the order entirely. They're a relic, and not only that, they say they serve the Dragonborn, but then proceed to give him/her an ultimatum and assume that they can tell them what to do.

But their armor and weapons are cool.

Screw the Blades! They claim to be subservient to the Dragonborn but all they do is order me to kill my bro Paarthurnax. It's irritating that you can't slap Delphine in the face and say, "I'm the Dragonborn! I refuse to kill the very dragon that helped me far more than you bums to defeat Alduin." I mean, I realize that they did show me Alduin's Wall but in reality, that's all that they did.

Not to mention they talk about war crimes (which are pointless anyways if you consider it's been about a thousand years since Paarthurnax committed those atrocities and he himself helped the Nord heroes learn the Voice) when they themselves committed genocide on the dragons. It's hypocritical!

But their armor and weapons are cool.

And that's why when I become Emperor, I'm giving their armor and weapons to the most highly trained warriors. Raid Sky Haven Temple to find manuscripts on Akaviri fighting styles.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But if I sit at the throne of the Empire, the first thing I'd do is teach these denizens of Tamriel how to find their butt cheeks with both hands! Seriously, the fact that only Mages seem to be educated individuals in the ways of science saddens me. But other than that...I'd just call Ohdaviing, Paarthurnax, and the rest of the dragons loyal me to the Imperial City. Make them go to Summerset Isles.
You know, just some interior decorating. Some -200 Celsius ice streams on one side with frozen Thalmor soldiers and some ash piles with inhospitable fire scorching the landscape on the other side. And in the middle of the Crystal Tower, I'd have a special place where I can make my sculpture garden personally. The Thalmor King can be the centerpiece, frozen in ice.
Then I'll legalize the Dark Brotherhood and just like any awesome ruler, DIE. I'm inclined to falling off a cliff while punching Lydia in the throat, all while doing back flips.
To have more forces to invade Skyrim with! If I couldn't manage to form the bond I wouldn't be able to send out more soldiers to Skyrim in the offchance the Thalmor attack when my forces are spread out. I would hope we could reach an understandment regarding Talos and could work together to destroy the world! :lol:
Of course, since I've already said I was gonna be an emperor that's likely to burn down his own city due to boredom I would probably betray the Thalmor sometime after that as well, but I'll deal with that when it comes to it.
