It's an Elder Scroll game. You are a god in the Shivering Isles and you are not tied to Sheogorath's chair.
And to get the blades back you would have to kill every dragon AND stop the dominion

I don't think that any good could come of usurping the Imperial throne. The Empire is dying and still needs to hold out against the Thalmor or at least manage an orderly dissolution without throwing it's own legions against each other.

I wouldn't mind them dying out, as an organisation they have either failed to protect the emporer or manipulated the player character.

The Blades demonstrated their lack of loyalty in game when they decided to boss you around and dictate what you will do with another character in game. They will most likely die out without the Dragonborns support and status symbol since most people don't kill said dragon and they refuse to aid you until you kill said dragon so I say let them die out.

If someone brought them back or they rose to power I would kill them off myself. The world has no place for their ideology.

I agree with you on the part where you had to kill parthunax. That is what I didn't like about the blades.They need to have more katanas.

Because they were sworn to the Septims/Dragonborn, not the empire. A dangerous concept to base an Empire on, is it wise to give a group access to all the empires secrets when if the king dies with no heir they may turn on it?

Me I always thought at the end of the game you would become emperor due to the fact that. The septims where dragon blood and since your dragon blood you would become the emperor. Then continue a new dynasty of dragonborn emperor's and whatnot.
