What do you guys miss from the dark brotherhood

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 4:21 pm

i personally miss the detailed story line how long it took. in this dark brotherhood i just feel like a common murderer it just go here kill this nothing to make me feel like and assassin at all in oblivion i feel like i am bad ass and way i moved up in rank if felt like i deserved to be leader cuz i did everything ask of me and then sum i lived for the night mother and dread father but now i feel like that a lost art to these guys, u only get like two mission that make you feel like your back in db one is the killing of the princess or wat eva she is in the shadow and second is killing that chef and deposing of his body in the lake besides that db this time around svcks.

p.s no bashing just your thoughts on the db this time around

You might want to edit your post and ask a mod to move this to the spoilers forum...

On the actual quest line I miss what I miss in most questlines in Skyrim extra content, I feel the amount of missions before the final are to few
Spoiler
Though getting that final mission and killing Titus Mede is awesome

I do actually like this questline more then I liked the one in Oblivion, but I'm one of the few.

At least this game you the chance to what I really wished I could do in Oblivion, wipe them out. If you play a law abiding character in OB, that abandoned house just seems to mock you.

I like them better in Skyrim also. It seems like an extension of the story from Oblivion actually. I rather like that the questline is fairly short. You still get your pretty good sneak gear and followers at the end. I wish they would give the DB a nice mansion somewhere to work out of instead of these dingy caves though.

If people don't want to learn stuff about the game they shouldn't hang out on websites that discuss the game. Too many people are spoiler police.

It's posted in the general section mate, and spoiling rather big plot points of the quest. If this was posted this in the spoiler section you would be right in saying that... Posting it here however just shows an inability to read or understand the rules.

Just PM a mod, or edit your first post and put [ SPOILER ] at the start of the quests you describe and [ / SPOILER ] at the end, without the spaces of course.

I understand that but i'm just saying that no matter how much you try to keep out hints you will more than likely find some if your visiting web sites about the game. If people really don't want to know anything that happens in a game than do not visit a game forum website. If you do you will risk learning things.

Of course you will, but it can often be avoided in these part of forum, and I'm not saying it's 100% effective but it's a good idea to try. Just trying be consider other people their experiences (especially in the general forum) often goes a long way.

Yeah its moved already.

I like the storyline in Skyrim, but I miss the individual kills from Oblivion. Skyrim doesn't force you to get creative, or put you in interesting situations.

I still prefer the one in Skyrim more, I get a larger sense of purpose. Not just killing because LOLZ but killing because MONEYZ

It gives me more satisfaction to deal with practical people who are just in it for the money instead of a bunch of nothing worshippers.

Another downside to Oblivion I think, is that no matter how evil you RP you're still basically killing the Dark Broterhood. In Skyrim you kill the Emperor, his innocent cousin who is actually a reasonably nice person and you have the ability to kill a innocent girl, which will eventually lead to her mother commiting suicide as well. Which is just awesome :)

the DB from Oblivionw as one of my favorites hands down, the one in Skyrim was done well i guess. I do miss the special kills where u had different options on most of them this i think u only gte what 2 kils that gives ya options. I will have to say i REALLY enjoyed the speech option of shoving me being the listener and that the night mother chose me in Astrids face....liked how she get uncomfortable when i would do those....but then again seeing how she was she problemly thought i was goign crazy the way of cicero.

I maybe one of the few but i believe cicero pretty much saved that storyline from being so much worse.

That quest was so great its the only one I remember from the game. And I'll probably remember it long after I've forgotten all the sub par quests in Skyrim.

You are right. Without Cicero, I would have been sooo disappointed in the DB quest line. He seemed to be the only one who cared for the old way and I didn't like Astrid at all.
I don't remember much the quests in Oblivion but there is one that I like and really miss. It's a quest where you have to kill people one by one in a locked house. It was so much fun :-D
