What do YOU want for DLC?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 7:35 am

Since I already know where I want expansions to go, I'm going to save this post for smaller DLC.

On my wish list:

Hiricine's Hunting Ground.
Coldharbour.
Time Travel/Dwemer.
Spell-crafting.
Woodworking (staff, arrow, and new types of armor)

I want to be able to rotate items that I'm holding, so I can place them. Joining the bard's college was a bit lame... I thought I'd get to play like the other NPCs... since we can do the mill stuff and grinding stuff... why not play instruments? And we need a barber!

it seems like beth usally does something with deadric gods for dlc, bloodmoon (hircine) ,and the shivering isles (sheogorath), and as a possibal idea maby u could work for azura to reclaim morrowind as the dunmer homeworld? ..idk if that makes too much sense lore wise :unsure2: but it could be cool

It's Vvardenfell that is destroyed and its not completely obliterated either the landscape around there has changed. The water around there is now called the Scathing Bay and there is an open from the center of Red Mountain into the bay. It could very well be habitual. I would like a game one day to take place on mainland Morrowind.

I doubt the Dwemer would ever return, but I admit its an interesting concept.

I've always wondered if the developers destroyed Vvardenfell in order to help set up a future game that takes place on mainland Morrowind.

A quest line to clean up Riften and get rid of the Blackbriars. Have it instigated by Mjoll. I think a great ending would be the death of the all the Blackbriars but the alchemist girl. Give her a final scene where she lives, but it's obvious she will be planning something sinister in the future. In game now, she seems all nice and happy, but if you keep talking to her, she really likes poisons.

Join the Vigilants of Stendarr.

Fix the later game so that if you help the Imperials or Stormcloaks win, it really affects things and people will know who you are.

Change the various organizations such as the Thieves Guild and Mages Guild so that when its members talk to you after you take over, they will treat you like the Guildmaster instead of a rookie recruit.

A way to turn off random dragons built right into the game in the Options panel.

Improved werewolves and vampires.

More houses. I'd love the opportunity to buy a house with all the trimmings and set it in the wilderness wherever I want.

Add in more marriage partners, at least one of every single race and six in the game, with all required dialogue.

Rather than little 'DLC addons to the world', I'd rather see a full-on expansion sort of like Dragon Age: Awakening, NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer, etc...

The DLC for Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 1/2 where 2 to 4 hr small questlets are added don't really turn me on.

I would like to get better necromancer spells, something that doesn't require a corpse. I know that that's what these should be about but compared to the atronarchs they're pretty terrible. I currently have expert level raise zombie and I still run into corpses that I cannot use. Atronarchs are more practicle and generally better than most of the corpses you can actually raise.

Just give a spell that can pop a zombie up from the ground without the need for a corpse.

I'd love to kick the Thalmor out of the empire, relive the life of Tiber Septim and conquer Cyrodiil and get the 4th age empire off to a good start. Also return to Morrowind, Hammerfell and High Rock!

Realistically, I want a fleshed out post-war questline that helps Skyrim rebuild, with a player built stronghold. An overhaul of the College of Winterhold, to bring it up to the standard of the other guilds (this could include an overhaul of the magic system with more spells). And a daedric adventure, maybe in Twighlight, with Azura.

So much lore unfriendlyness!!

Either

A: An alternative leveling system. With more Daedra to fill up conjuration
B: High rock (Other provinces such as the likely hammerfell would not be very good with skyrim's Gameplay limitations) (plus most of high rock's models and textures are already in skyrim)

And a daedric adventure

With more Daedra to fill up conjuration

Yes and yes. I would prefer Cold Harbour since it would be an interesting contrast to traveling backward in time (since Cold Harbour is supposedly a reflection of the future of Tameriel), but most any daedric adventure would do.

A DLC where you drive the Nords into the ocean. Let me kill 'essential' NPC's. Ship the children off to Dunmer families because we can't kill them. Seriously, I want to kill every single Nord in Skyrim. I call it the "Exterminate the Aryan Race Challenge." Seriously, you couldn't have at least given them some Slavic/Russian elements in addition rather than just carbon-copying Viking Stereotypes?

Skyrim Factions:

-Join a Faction
-Climb the Ranks, with every new rank gives you access to new features
-Wage a Campaign against other factions and take part in large scale battles.
-Build your Guild Hall and Install fortifications and Buildings creating your own economy.
-Wear a Cloak with the Faction's Seal and colors displayed.

The goal is to have your faction fight for territory, gain influence and prosperity, and in the process eliminate the other factions. You can create alliances, or be a lone wolf.
I very much want Bethesda to see this and think about it, I've longed for this set of features since Morrowind.

I want a real expansion, new lands and quests, not some dull horse armour or anything like that.
I would rather wait a year for a good expansion with lots of content.

I just want some big unique landmass, maybe in the Sea of Ghost with a lot of new content and quest. Unique NPCs and location a new big city or two, hundreds of hours of play time. I want spell creation in, the option to change your hair, beard, dirt levels, and your face paint. I want new creatures, weapons, armor, clothes, and new junk items. Maybe something to restore Winterhold as well.

I want new content that is similar in feel to a combination of New Vegas' DLCs, and Broken Steel.

Basically:

New areas, definitely, but also some new things added to the base landmass as well in the form of a few new quests and encounters, that reflect the evolving state of the world post Main quest and post Civil War.

New equipment, character progression, shouts, spells, enemy types and variations of existing enemies etc.

A real, planned out story arc, that advances our character's personal story, and the world's story forward. A certain character hints to us that we would accomplish many more things that will have great consequences.

Tying up, or advancing old loose ends, like the Thalmor, our decision with the Blades, etc. I want to see results and action in response to those sorts of things.

Overall, I don't want to see things that are completely divorced from and unrelated to, our character and the story's progression. Things like all of Fallout 3's DLC minus Broken Steel are a major turn off to me.

There was this book in the game called Exodus that featured a large island-city called Olenveld in the sea of ghosts that was used as a necropolis. The story was about necromancers. However, I'd love to see that island surface in a DLC as the home of the Volkihar. The expansion could focus around a fairly long mutually exclusive set of faction quests; on the side of either the Volkihar or Vigilant of Stendarr. Vampires got no love in the vanilla game, nor did vampire slayers. Fleshing them both out while adding a very interesting unique location could be alot of fun in a DLC.

I'd like ta know what happened to the dwemer. there's a bit in the storyline where you help this guy arniel ta find out but at the end of it he vanishes. A DLC ta go where he went would be great and ta meet some dwarves would be cool.

There may also be room for a mothership zeta type DLC maybe? one day your wondering around skyrim and find a cave with ancient drawings of alien craft and then next thing you know your beamed up to tha mothership:) nah, that's a bit of a longshot that one.
