What do you want next from Bethesda?

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:05 am

I was just wondering what the fans want next out of Bethesda... (I posted this in Skyrim Gen because it gets the most views...)

Me personally, I want Fallout 4, made with the Creation engine... I thought Fallout 3 was the best thing they'd done until Skyrim, and I can't wait to go through the whole *every day is a lifetime* phase before the release, like I did with Skyrim :D

So what do you want?

Definitively a new Fallout,

I want to see a Fallout game with better graphics and animations, similar to those found in Skyrim, and maybe with a slight overhaul of the RPG elements in it, because in New Vegas you can still max all your skills making decisions about them kinda pointless and the only deciding factors are pretty much SPECIALs and perks. Something similar to Skyrim skills system would be interesting to see in the next Fallout game.

Never liked the Fallout series. Kept trying up to 3 and gave up about 10 hours in. Just not for me. First, I'd like to see some expansions on Skyrim, then TES VI, of course.

Different games for different tastes, I have roughly 200 hours played on Fallout 3 and easily 300+ on New Vegas and barely just put the game down because of Skyrim release =)

Another Fallout, if only because it makes more sense that another Fallout will come out before another TES game will.

I'd like Fallout 4, New Vegas was good but it just didn't grab me like Fallout 3 did and I think there were enough hints at a backstory in Fallout 3 for a new game, around the Brotherhood and Outcast story. Maybe the lone wanderer can go West to either try and bring the two together, or he/she could decide to work with one of them against the other or could go it alone and betray them both..

I want mod tools.

I also want them to find the source code to Daggerfall on a stack of floppies they forgot they owned and release it, but that's not going to happen.

TES VI. I'd rather see an interesting new world than another post apocalyptic wasteland.

I don't much care for their The Road take on Fallout. It was fun enough. But it's too grimdark for grimdark's sake. I just got sick of seeing piles of body parts in bags in half the buildings of the game.

Reliable patch and TWO EXPANSIONS!

The real deal, not some "Knight of the nine" understatement

Wow ..can't believe they'er so close. I find the "Fallout" Worlds to be bland and boring. Sorry.

Elderscrolls on the otherhand where the only limit is in your imagination is stunning. Can't wait for the next Elderscrolls game :D

It will be a major jump graphicly aswell, probably on the next gen. How could you not want that! I hope we don't have to wait too long. I would love to play a game like this with Uber up to date graphics/physics

Well, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. I find the Fallout worlds to be immersing and addicting as crack. I do every side-quest, read every dialogue, role-play the heck out of the game and still I can play it over and over and not get bored. I don't know, Fallout just got me addicted like that. Skyrim is the first TES game I seriously put some good hours in it. It is very good, but I'm not addicted as much for some reason. I guess shooters are more my style.

I'd like them to fine tune this game first.

Then they should sit down and consider how to push the envelop and how to make their games more stable, less quirky.

I chose "other".

A patch that fixes things instead of breaking more, an apology to fans for rushing the game, and the first 2 DLCs free for those who paid full price for Skyrim on day one. Until they get this right I'm not keen in seeing manpower resources being channeled into new games.

I want TES VI but I know Fallout 4 is next. I love Skyrim but I fear if they do the same thing with the leveling and attributes/skills with FO4 it will ruin it. I can't imagine FO with more limited skills.

Are you SERIOUSLY having this many problems? I have not run into one single game breaking glitch/bug in the 134 hours I have been playing on my Xbox...

Ok then?

The people who are having problems are the ones playing on the PC, like me. You'd naturally have less or no problems on Xbox because all Xboxes are the same, so there's much less possibility for errors. On PC you have all kind of combinations of GPUs, CPUs, drivers, Sound cards, etc, etc, which means sloppy programming makes for terribly unstable games. Skyrim is an even more egregious case since patches tend to do more hamr than good. Anyway, since you're on a console, of course you don't have problems, but that doesn't mean PC-players aren't 100% right to complain.
