What's your favorite dungeon?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:12 am

Just curious as to what everyone's favorite dungeon is. I'm also wondering if there's something equivalent to Rockmilk Cave from Oblivion? You know, that one dungeon that always has awesome loot or is particularly fun to go through?

I think my personal favorite would either be Bleak Falls Barrow or Ustengrav.

Hmm.....dungeon.
I can't seem to remember any dungeons I've been to except Blackreach, Bleak Falls Barrow.........and Whiterun prison.

OH! And Cidna Mine!
So I'll say my favorite would be the Whiterun prison. Great place.

Actually I have a hard time deciding on a favorite dungeon because IMO they are all very well-made and many have their own stories. Some of my favorites include Dead Mans Respite, Yngol Barrow, Deepwood Redoubt, Hag's End, Saarthal, Ysgramor's Tomb, Volunruud, Hillgrund's Tomb, Ansilvund and so many more. It is almost too many good dungeons to pick a favorite.

I thought Bleak Falls Barrows was cool then I noticed there were like 10 others exactly the same.

They count as different areas but I love Deepwood Redoubt/Deepwood Vale/Hags End.

I liked the story in Ansilvund, though Saarthal was pretty interesting.

I found Oblivion's dungeons to be absolute trash. That's just me, though.

Oblivion had the worst dungeons of any RPG I've ever played. There was one person designing all of them so they were just copy and pasted and filled with leveled monsters. They were absolute garbage, and Skyrim's are a massive, massive improvement.

But to each their own I guess.

Bleakfalls Barrow holds a special place, because it's the 1st big dungeon that I went through and is really cool in it's own right.

Blackreach, Fallowstone cave both are spectacular.

I would have to go with this too. That or Ragnvald.

All of them are unique and great to explore, but my favorites are:

Blackreach (Obviously)
Bloated Man's Grotto
and Skuldafn (inside and outside, plus Sovngarde)

Hard to say... But I really enjoyed Labyrinthian. On the whole the draugr crypts are my favorite dungeon type.

You guys should try Darkwater Pass.

Its a really unique cave filled with Falmer near a lake by Darkwater Crossing.

But the awesome thing about it is it looks NOTHING like any other dungeons/caves,it was really fun to explore. It was truly handcrafted, made me wish I could live inside.

Any where I have to think to progress through them, especially when I completely miss the chain I need to pull next to the door to open it and and spend the next 20 minutes wandering aimlessly finding other stuff which I missed because I was rushing! Do get fed up of fighting bandits mind you, Draugr seem to be more competitive.
