What your least favorite city?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 10:27 pm

I kinda like dawnstar. Least favourite would be winterhold. I'm never a Mage so it can't sway me that way and there's literally nothing there to do if you're not one. Which is too bad because I like the college. Even as my first character who was a warrior i'd hang out at the college just for the hell of it.

Winterhold. Too tiny, nothing really interesting about it if not for the nearby College. No interesting NPCs either. Even middle-of-swamp Morthal had an amusing Jarl, who if you befriend and ask for help during a certain main quest will... encourage the yelling about imaginary snakes.

All of them accept WinterHold. Why can we not have a home in the one place were barely anyone lives.

People are annoying.

Morthal and Dawnstar are pretty much interchangeable to me. I always forget which is which. My least favourite 'city', though, would have to be Winterhold. It's got, what, three buildings? Three buildings and a college that's crumbling into the sea as we speak. Not exactly what I'd call impressive. Applying the term 'city' to any of the holds is pushing it. Most of them barely even qualify as hamlets. Even Solitude and Whiterun are just gussied up villages.

Markarth, so easy to get lost in, plus I was never too fond of the guards either...

I would say Winterhold since it has 3 1/2 buildings, but since the College is part of it technically, the title for worst town goes to Morthal. Honestly after you finish the Thane quest, there is truly Nothing you can do there.

really? on my current game it wont stop being sunny and cheery with churping birds and Bleeting Goats.

no lie when I first played skyrim it was the very definition of Teen angst, gloomy dark, foggy and dead. now it can't get enough of the sun....that and the Dragon flying around, it will not attack, AT ALL.....flying to high to hit with anything reliably. very scenic though

Winterhold, it has 4 buildings and they haven't made any attempt to rebuild in 80 years.

What some of your guys least favorite cities and why?
WhiteRun and Winterhold, simply cause WhiteRun is pretty much a starting place for all character where you would probably spend a lot of time at and Winterhold is always so snowy and gloomy...

Without the College, Winterhold, after the disaster, barely rates city satisis, gameplay and graphics-wise. Graphicallly I find Wldhelm rather ugly, I like Riften and Markarth for their water features.

Winterhold. Like damn I wish Bethesda wouldve scrapped the "city destroyed by the ocean" idea. It couldve been really appealing.

I found Falkreath to be depressing because the people there are depressing. And it also rained on me the whole time. Otherwise, as a town, it's fairly useful. It has several merchants and is centrally located in its hold. But I couldn't wait be be somewhere else. Unfortunately, that turned out to be Windhelm. What a dump. From there I went to Winterhold. Why does it even have a jarl? Now I'm in Riften. If not for a College radiant quest, I wouldn't have bothered. Been there before with another character. Dragon attack is what it needs. After Riften I have to head back into Falkreath for more quests. Oh joy. Maybe that dipwad of a jarl will have some jobs for me finally. Or maybe the whole populaton will have committed suicide; they seemed to be heading that way. I should have just stayed in Riverwood. It's pleasant enough, for a Nord village.

Skyrim is a harsh land.

Markath. Always lost, supremely corrupt, and morally queasy quest line that caused me to start a new toon and never go near the joint.
