I don't mind it. I see enough fat people in the US as it is, I'd rather not see anymore in a game.

They'd have to do major modifications to accommodate armor for the fat body type. It's just too much work.

Not really fat as much as bloating from Corprus disease.

On a serious n ote,

would be hard to accomodate!

Now, I don't know if this idea has any vaibility. WHat about parametric models, which scale accordingly?

While I agree that there should have been a fat slider and stuff like that, it makes sense. Skyrim is a rough land, and the Nords have a very physically intensive lifestyle (fighting off the wildlife, farming lots of crops, travelling in the freezing cold, etc.). While fat would make them more resilient to the cold, it would also make sense for them all to be buff.

There's a reason why no one's fat in Tamriel: everything/body is either trying to eat you or kill you.

Being out of shape is suicide.

Even the girls in the game have a better build.

Senior citizens, you're thinking? Magicka training, obviously.

Well the way the weight slider in the game currently works, every armour and clothing piece has two models, like for example stormcloak_m_0.nif and stormcloak_m_1.nif. One of those is the skinny model (the _0.nif), and the other is the largest model (the _1.nif), the game then fills the gap between them along the slider by combining the two. It works nicely, the downside being two models have to be made for every piece, per gender (4 in all for both males and females). It's possible, just a good sized chuck of work to do.

I think it would be great to see more character diversity. Nazeem would definitely be chunky.

Fat people are slower and therefor are eaten by trolls and mudcrabs.

Otheral, hello there!

A sensible post. While I would love having different builds, modelling would just get too much time consuming. Unless, of course, Bethesda could devise some sort of parametric models which would automatically adjust and fit different body builds.
That is something I would like, something not to complicated, just general body sizes you could adjust for the type of character you wanted.

I'd say just the Jarls, and a few shop keepers perhaps? they don't necessarily have to travel. It'd make things more realistic. I can only imagine how fat the Jarl of Markath would be, lazy bugger.
