BoS Safehouse and Novac hotel room after I get it for free.

I just cache stuff around the place...I haven't found anywhere that striked me as suitable for permanent digs.

Generally I just use the Lucky 38 suite, or a house mod of my choosing. I don't know which places are safe and which aren't, so I don't trust any location that isn't one of the "official" houses you are given, or a modded house, and I just like the Lucky 38 suit best of the available options, it's nicer than the Novac motel room and is located in a location I'm likely to be visiting a lot, whereas Novac is a place I generally don't bother going to after I've completed the stage of the main quest that takes place there. Of course, it helps a lot that I have a mod which adds a map marker to the Lucky 38, as well as some other locations in the Strip, and one that adds some things to the Lucky 38 suite that it lacked before, allowing it to satisfy all my needs as well as any other home in the game does.

I've used Harper's Shack for my last 4 characters. Campfire, Ammo Bench, Workbench, tons of storage, a bed and a Toy Box for unique weapons storage. Not too much clutter. Just don't disturb the neighbors -- engage sneak before you fast travel to the front door.
Thinking of changing up for my new character... can't decide where, though.

Houses are for little girls and their dollies. I sleep where I want when I want. Anything that is excess is vendored for caps.

I keep expecting to find a secret society of useful friends in that place.

If it wasnt NCR controlled, I'd want to live in Ranger Station.....Alpha I think? It's the one with the basemant home. It looks nice and cozy D:
