Which base archetype do you prefer?

Mage, warrior, theif?

My favourite is a mage, then theif/assasin. I hardly ever play a warrior..:(

Thief. Most strategic and rad just hanging out in the shadows then STABSTABSTABSTABSTAB or CHECK OUT THIS ARROW IN YOUR FACE.

Mage is my favorite base archetype and the only one I can stand playing with nothing mixed in. If I want to be stealthy I use a nightblade and if I want to get into melee I use a spell sword. Always have to have magic mixed in.

Theives are fun to play Because you've gotta stalk them out

I'm playing an archer assasin, who uses one handed and destruction when they get close.

I have many ways to kill someone ??

I've got 3 characters and all of them are warrior/mage mixes. Need to do a straight up warrior sometime soon. And call me old fashioned, but I still harken back to the gold box D and D paradigm of a team of 6. Can't imagine how many mods THAT would take....

Warrior with destro magic offhand. I really prefer just melee, but sometimes a bit of magic is helpful.

Warrior for me. I'm a very careful person in real life. I tend to think about everything I say and do before I say and do it. So it's wonderfully theraqeutic for me to play claymore-wielding barbarian-type characters who run screaming into groups of enemies, mindlessly swinging giant swords at everything that moves.

I like the warrior. It's fun to barge into things mindlessly.

Assassin, I like sneaking around and killing things with a bow or a dagger.

Mage type is fun but not as much as in Oblivion. Frenzy spell are leveled and I can't make Destruction/Illusion+Invisibility spell. Also, there's no open spell! I mean, what kinda mage running around carrying lockpicks?

Warrior is too boring. And quoting Cicero, "Cicero never understood thieves. Take someone's things before you kill them? And they call me crazy."

I have a need to be good at everything. I like to use ranged stealth for many situations where I like to build up the anticipation of the threat and the need to deal with it in the safest way possible. I like to be an efficient mage for any situations where you will be 'naked' and need to be powerful without any gear (cidhna mine, jail, etc), and I like to be a toe to toe melee fighter whenever the situation requires honor or an open show of power and fairness.

If I ever have to choose a class, I choose something like a ranger, in the true Aragorn/Strider sense. Archery, Restoration, One-Handed, Sneak, Light Armor, Alchemy, Illusion, (Athletics/Acrobatics).

Had the most fun with mages - pure, battlemage, spellsword and conjuror. I've enjoyed my warriors and thieves too.

Thief, then warrior. I've never played a pure mage before. I'm just more into either tactical hide-and-seek or evade-attacks-and-bash-à-volonté. Being a mage is just too distant, I need me some contact with the opponent! xD (although I do like the archery duels I sometimes have)

Funny. I usually just stay hidden in the shadows and shoot the City Guards in the knees. One arrow is all it takes.

Mage. I've tried others, but I always end up going back to my Mage. Most success (eg. lenth of play time) I've had with other classes are hybrids that use magic (Nightblade, Spellsword).

Hmm i would have to say assassin/ranger type characters are my bread and butter i love to sneak around in the shadows and launch attacks then vanish. its very challenging as long as you don't use exploits like invisibility (only use it when there's no other option)

Yep. Nothing beats blasting people away with a fireball.

I prefer melee/magic hybrids, but my favorite is more focused on combat than magic so I would hav to say warrior of the base archetypes.
