The city of Whiterun was inspired by a LotR city and I think that is pretty cool. Possibly Riverwood as well but I could be wrong on that.

Not terribly surprising, especially if you see the side by side comparison of Rohan to Whiterun

Outlander.

It's a B movie made on about 5 bucks (2.50 of which went on chips and drinks).
The premise is actually sci fi, but it's set in iron age Norway and it has a really strong Skyrim vibe.

Actually it's pretty much Beowulf with a sci fi twist but it's quite watchable.

Also the 13th Warrior... Obviously about a Redguard hanging out with some Nords plus I'm 100% convinced that Skyrim guard comments about warriors from Hammerfell using CURVED swords is a nod to a memorable scene.

Although to be honest, Monty Python's The Holy Grail got me in the mood for Knights of the Nine.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Plus, the guy who plays Buliwyf (Vladimir Kulich) is the voice of Ulfric, so there's that. No other movie makes me think Skyrim more than The 13th Warrior.

I agree completely. What a great movie to get a person in the mood.

Never heard of that movie

It's a comedy and appears to be quite low budget. It's about King Arthur trying to do a quest for God to get the Holy Grail. For some reason, KotN reminds me of the Crusades time period.

No film makes me want to play skyrim.

I did watch Battleship, and think, this has more story than Skyirm. It really does. A simple, A to B to C, straight to the point story. But then again, most things have more plot than Skyrim.

It's a TV series not a movie. Game of Thrones. Complete with its own dragon born.

Prometheus' mountains reminded me of Skyrim. I then paused the movie and played Skyrim for like a hour. Then, watched Prometheus, which is boss.
