Which preorder pack is the best : Fallout: New Vegas

I think caravan may be the best if the binoculars have a good range. Im wondering what the benefit of a canteen would be for the classic pack. Those seem to be the only thing that wont be tossed out for upgrades within the first few levels

I got the classic, but my favorite is the caravan pack. I just ordered from Gamestop so I could get the Collector's Edition without having to resort to Amazon or some online source (I want to play the game day one!).

Caravan. Pretty much love everything about it. Plus, my first character will be using the leather armors in the game pretty much exclusively unless some other armor I find has better stats and looks. I'm excited for the reinforced leather armor.

I just pre ordered from GameStop. I might look into trading someone for the Caravan. It's the Internet, so you never know. Otherwise, I'll he fine with the Classic. Won't mind it.

Likewise, caravan. Its all about looks for me. don't care about DR/DT and stats, but since FONV is getting a rebalance and the new damage system, this will probrably change......

I can't decide between the caravan and the classic cause I plan to play hardcoe only so the canteen may be useful but I love shotguns so starting with one would be great, point is kinda moot tho as I already pre ordered the CE from eb games (gamestop in canada) and the classic is the pack they have so its what I'll be getting altho I may offer a freind a couple buck to put towards getting it on steam so i can mabey get both codes if I'm lucky.

For me it's a toss up between Classic and Caravan; get a canteen and possibly the only 10mm pistol in all of the Majove Desert, or binoculars and a shotgun that is to my tastes. In the end I'll probably go with Classic because I always pre-order with Gamestop; but really, what does it matter? For those of us who plan on getting the PC version we'll get one through pre-order and the rest through mods; I can garuntee you that once the game is released one of the first mods will be getting all the pre-order gear in one neat little package.

I doubt there will be just one 10mm pistol in the whole Mojave Wasteland. They're not going to give you a gun but not give you any bullets for it.

I can garuntee you that once the game is released one of the first mods will be getting all the pre-order gear in one neat little package.

Maybe. That might run into legal issues though.

I'm under the impression that it is, could just be the way the Classic Pack description is worded though.

As for the mod thing; I don't know about any possible legal issues but I know that at least some folks will try it.

I got classic, caravan seems to overpowered to start out with, imo. ALso I think you can get the binoculars ingame along with repair kits. :shrug:

And classic has the canteen which would be useful in hardcoe.

I got release-day shipping from Amazon (so I'll have the game on release day...or 'day one') for free because my parents have an Amazon Prime membership that they added my sister and I to (the fact that this is allowed surprises me since we don't live even remotely close to one another). I also get free 2nd day air on anything that's sold by Amazon. Yipee.

That said I couldn't care less about the pre-order packs. I don't even remember which one I get from Amazon.

im getting the merc pack because i love that u get a quick fire grenade laucher and im going to jack my explo. skill

i also think that it has good range because u can lobe the grenades and the best way to avoid damage is to be far away

im doing HC mod and im danger prone so docters bag are going to be BA BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO TAKE OUT A MORGAGE JUST TO FIX ME ON MY BOO BOOS ON MY FIRST WANDERING.

If you buy for PC it doesn't matter. The dev console will allow you to use the player.additem code to give yourself whatever pack you want to.

Or load an ESP that fools the game into thinking it was preordered somewhere else.
