Holy crap!!! I want,I want now!!!! You PCers get da coolest stuff!!!!! I'm a big nature nut and would have had a kiniption if this was on console.I can already ditinguish a nice variety of little song birds in the vanilla game.

Yeah, the dungeon noises are actually really creepy. These are my favorite mods by far.

There are two mods "The Sounds of Skyrim," one for dungeons and one for the wilderness. They are... amazing. I feel more and more sorry for console players every day... :(

And I have been telling people that the game is lacking in birds, or bird variety to be more precise.

Initiating download...

My favorites would have to be the sounds of the waterfalls or rushing water, though I often feel like it's not loud enough. I also love the sound of rain and thunder.

By ear I can hear: what I listed a few posts earlier. It's not much but more then I've heard in other games.

I like the sound of
Spoiler
Arngier's Spectre ( this guy cannot be hurt and costs 0 to summon )
moaning in regret. It is the groan that symbolizes his failure.

I can't get that mod to work :(

I love the 'thump' sound of arrows hitting something.

I like almost all the sounds in Skyrim, from the distant crying of dragons to the raucous shouts of Draugr Deathlords. The FITZZZZ when I'm unlocking a perk. Unsheathing a two-handed weapon. Sorting through ingredients. Mining ore.

One of the less pleasing sounds is the mechanical barking of dogs, it doesn't sound genuine at all.

I like that one. I have it for my notification on my phone.

I also enjoy the zap sound from the dartwings when you catch them.

Uhu. I also think that the single note they're singing when you e.g. learn a new spell is a fantastic "sound effect"! Also the bit longer part of this when you level-up is neat. There was some post a month or two ago about the choir, that they had even better Sneak skill than any player. That's because they're stalking the PC wherever (s)he's going and reacting to his/her achievements, and still they remain nowhere to be seen. ^_^

Yup, picking gold sound is also very nice. :) Pretty much the whole soundscape is really soothing - except epic and loud when there's danger near. The contrast between these is very good indeed!

the sound of standing stones being activiated.

The sound of a bow being drawn back

The sound of leveling up

The sound of running water/waterfalls

The sound of unsheathing a greatsword

The sound of choosing a perk

The sound of discovering a location

The sound of soul trapping

The sound of casting healing

The sound of casting shield spells

The sound of decapitating someone

The Sound of ice spikes whizzing past

This game has some of the best audio i've ever heard in a game

The sound of my flame atronach imploding. But no matter that I'm used to it, it startles me every time -- I think that some monster has crept up on me.

My two favorite sounds:

1. The "all clear" chord that plays when you either clear a dungeon or happen upon a semi-secret stash of treasure.

2. The sound when you loot the chaurus egg clutches. There's something satisfying about the crunch.
