Which sounds within the game please you?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:05 pm

I don't mean music. I mean the sound certain items/spells make when you pick them up or use them.

I really, really adore the noise the Salt Piles make when you pick them up. :3 Fire Salts, Bone Meal, Glow Dust, they all make the same noise as well but I'm weirdly fond of the Salt Piles anyway. Think it's because I'm a salt addict in reality (totally going to have a heart attack before I'm 40).

I also enjoy the noise of the books opening and the pages turning.

How about you?
P.S. If my sentence structure svcks it's because my brain rotted away long ago due to video games. If not, woohoo!

The coin pick-up sound has a nice ring to it ...when it works.

In Fallout 3 i loved the gore bag opening sound, it made me hungry :hehe: (No i don't eat raw meat :P).

Oh my god, same with me on the gore bags! Sometimes it'd feel deliciously disgusting and other times, yeah, hungry. Good to know it wasn't just me.

Yeah, the wolves howling set my teeth on edge. D:

The sound of unsheathing (or sheathing) a sword and the sound of a mage armor spell being cast. Both indicate a beatdown is about to commence

There are two mods "The Sounds of Skyrim," one for dungeons and one for the wilderness. They are... amazing. I feel more and more sorry for console players every day... :(

Agreed... I like the Archery sounds in this game. The sounds and music are quite amazing in this game, id even go as far to say it's the best part about Skyrim.

THIS. Ohh yes. It's orgismic.

That and the sound of nature in Skyrim. I was playing this morning with my window open (lovely day, birds chirping outside etc. etc.) and I was walking around in Falkreath Hold (Also a nice, sunny day in game). And I literally could not distinguish what ambient sound was coming from the game, and what was coming from outside. So I shut my window (noise muffling type to be exact) And I continued to play, and after a while I stopped and though to myself "Oh yeah, I was supposed to shut the window!" But it was already shut. And that's when I was re-amazed by Skyrim's ambient sounds.

Yeah I love how it's like "Fus Ro" -aw sh**- "DAH!!" in that quick, raspy voice.

Oh gods... Multiple wolves howling together freaks me out on so many levels.

seeing how I'm a bird watcher in real life, I find I tend to stop and listen to the bird calls in the back ground and even try and find the bird thats doing all the singing. So far I've distinguished a Chick-a-dee,Blue Jay,Crow, and various little song birds like Finches but I have yet to locate any other then the Hawks, I haven't even seen a Pheasant but they are supposedly out in the trees. Oh, and the bovious checken.

Shooting with a bow, the sound of the bow itself.

When rabbits squeal. It is a terrible thing to hear.
