The game already has the LMG, Minigun, and a new MG in OWB. To add the MG42 would be overkill, I could understand the M1919 because it's a different kind of LMG, but nothing beyond that. Same goes for the Kar98 and the Mosin Nagant, they would totally negate the use of the hunting rifle.

Eh, true enough I suppose. I would still love to see a variant of the Ma Deuce.
None honestly I can't see them throwing a bunch of WW 2 era weapons into a state of the art research facility you think they'd be armed with modern weapons. I'm not hating on the WW 2 era guns but theres no plausible reason to have them lying around a secret research facility that was all about developing new tech theres not much you can do to a 1903 springfield that'll make it deadlier I guess maybe a guard could have carried a unique weapon but it really should be only 1 unique if that.
They could be WWII guns repurposed as early energy weapon prototypes. I'd love a Laser Luger or a Plasma Panzerfaust. (Not that the later would make any sense, but I love the sound of it. Plasma Panzerfaust. Plasma Panzerfaust. Plasma Panzerfaust.)

Me to just imagine that with ammo on your back and a suit of power armor mowing down deathclaws. For those who say its to heavy a guns skill of 100 and 10 strength 8 endurance and 8 agility should take care of that.
All these guns look great. I would love to have an M-16 (I know vietnam era, but close). I love This Machine and the .45 machine gun. I also like the Assault Carbine a ton.
I can't use the marskman carbine, it looks out of place in the Fallout universe.....like it's from CoD.
any of the british weapons please  especially the lee enfield a quick firing, accreate weapon with a good ammo capacity for a bolt action rifle, and also a possible perk for the mad minute
The Chinese SMG Looks like to handed a ppsh-43 fires 9mm round smuggled in to the usa for the use by chinese spies and communist insurgents because there easy to use, easy to repair and the abundance of 9mm ammo.
