Who else wants Injuns?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 1:20 pm

With all the wild west type stuff going on and being a desert and all I think it would be sweet if there was a secret Native American faction for a DLC.

It would open the possibilities for so many positive things:
Indian clothes:
Feather Headress
War Paint
Buckskin

Indian Weapons:
Bow and Arrow
Stone/Metal Tomahawk
More Spears

Indian Survival Reciepes and Chems

Indian related wildlife:
Mutated Jack Rabbits (this could be pretty freaky)
Mutated Buffalo
Mutated Snakes

Indian Related Hunting and Sneak Perks

The story could be something like this:
You meet a wasteland wanderer that is tied up on the ground near an anthill. After you save him, he tells you about an isolated box canyon off somewhere in the desert filled with a secretive tribe of pure blooded indians that returned to their old ways after leaving a reservation. From there it could go anywhere, he wants revenge, or you just go there. or anything really. I was hoping this would be more of an open plains type atmosphere (with the main settlement being tucked away hopefully) Well I guess they wouldn't necessarily have to be secluded, but it would be difficult to explain their existence otherwise since it hasn't been mentioned in 4 fallout titles already.

I really think this would be a great DLC just because of all the options available and how well it fits with this title. And indians are awesome. :P

I think it needs more gangster stuff. The laser RCW is nice, but I'd like more.

Also a casino heist.

Oh come on. Great Khans are NOT Native Americans. MOST OF THEM ARE CAUCASIAN FFS

I'm talking about Native Americas that hunt mutated buffalo and wear buckskin and their cheif has a feather headress. and they use bows for weapons and they're all addicted to whisky.

Natives.......hmmmm think that would be a good idea to throw in. Like a camp up in the hills or something. Quest could be help them or destroy the whole camp.

But i think they own all the casinos already we just don't know yet.

The term 'Indian' is completly acceptable. But its better to refer to them as American Indians to caues no confusion between Indians and American Indians.

Now the term Injuns....thats a different story.

They don't go shirtless, they wear a cutoff vest like some disowned biker gang.

And they dont' live in tepees, they live in Yurts.

They are almost all white.

THey are addicted to chems not whisky.

Great Khans are NOT American Indians in any sense of the word. I'm guessing you either grew up on the east coast or in a foreign country. No one from the midwest would ever make that claim.

Although I am not full-blooded (very rare to find a full-blood off of a reservation), I actually find the term Injun endearing. AIM may disagree though, lol.

This thread is so racist. The "native Americans", AKA the local tribes are in the game and running the casinos.

Other than the questionable terminology, I found nothing slanderous, derogatory, or remotely stereotypical towards Native Americans in the post (I am 1/4 Cherokee and 1/4 Oglala Sioux). Calm down and quit throwing the "R" word around.

It's hardly racist.

Have you ever met a native american? Or someone with Native American ancestry.

I've met a number of them and they'll either refer to themselves as Indian or name the specific tribe. I've never personally heard an indian call themselves native americans. Pfft.

Well I guess the developers did such a good job disguising them and making the reference fairly vague, that even when told that the Khans are Indians some people still can't see it.

Probably because almost half of the prefer to be called American Indian. At least according to the census they did before this years.

 (you)

But I would like to see more of the rural tribals like those at Arefu. Great Khans seem more like a gang of raiders and the other families didn't sound very different pre-House.
