Who gets the Dovahkiin's characters soulspirit after death?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 3:41 am

After completeing the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild and Companions quest lines, i noticed that 3 different "Gods" had a claim to the Dovakiin's soul/spirit. Without going into spoilers by explaining how this occurs, how does anyone think this would play out? Who has the strongest claim?

Also, you can pledge your soul to all of the
Daedra lords, 3 gods (I think) and if your a nord, you are supposed to be going to Sovenguard. So yeah, that's a mystery. I'd go to the lore section of the forums, they might help you out on this little complication. My guess, the Dovahkiin chooses, and has a lot of choices

Probably Sithis keep it, seeing as how he's the void and everything...

Dovakiin gets weekends with Shor and trades off every other week with Nocturnal and Sithis. Hircine is a drunk and therefore not suitable for custody.

I always wondered that and plus, if you become a Werewolf, I'm sure Hircine is going to want youin his Hunting Grounds.

I like the idea of joint custody :)

I just found it really odd that the Dovahkiin promises his/her soul to pretty much anything that offers power and that the "Gods" haven't realised that he tosses the promise of eternal servitude around like confetti, perhaps the Dovahkiin is just Tamriel's most succesful con-artist?

Who says the Dovakin sold his soul? I know mine didn't and he never will

But that's the thing the game dosn't have a Cannon Dovakin.

So what the Dragon-born did is a matter of perspective.

None, the dovahkiin's soul is some horrible multiple dragon infused abomination, i'd like to see the deadra that tries to take it. Also infusing that many dragon souls in one body has to move him up a sub-gradient in the mythic scale, bet the db matles talos or something to write him out

With Dawnguard coming out, I am willing to bet vampires go chill in the Soul Cairn after they die.

If you finish the Nightingales Quest then there is no way around it you did.

Well we know that if you're a Nord, and you pledge your soul to, say, Hircine, then he will get your soul instead of Shor. So Shor is automatically at the lowest point in the soul-claiming-chain, even though he would be the strongest theoretically. But if every Daedric lord claims your soul? Including Sithis? It's a tossup. I like to imagine they all duke it out in a Mortal Kombat-esque tournament. A Dovahkiin seems like a useful tool, if not then a very bragworthy trophy.

I pondered that myself.

If I was the Dragonborn, either Sovngarde or Azura's Realm. (i think the Dragonborn pledges his/her soul to Azura as well).

Joe Battle-Born.

I think since the Dragonborn has multiple dragon souls in him, he probably sends a soul to all of those Daedric Princes, and he can pick which ever one he wants to go to.
