Can't afford BF3...

Really gotta watch my expenses and besides that I'm busy with university and soon Skyrim.
Skyrim alone will do, but I simply can't make the time for 2 games.

I miss my Monkey-Gamers! :(

I have the beta. :P Felt like any other shooter, so definitely not buying it. I only downloaded the demo out of boredom.

http://bf3blog.com/2011/06/average-battlefield-player-vs-average-call-of-duty-player/

The above is a pretty good comparison of the two play styles. I use to play MW2 a LOT, then I played Battlefield Bad Company 2 and it was so much better I never touched COD again. COD is great and all but it really is a very different gameplay experience. Battlefield is much more about a team of people working together to accomplish an objective, and the incredible sound effects and graphics really bump it up several notches. Not to mention the destructible terrain, and SEMI-realistic ballistics.

I wouldn't judge the game based off of the beta, that wasn't a good indicator of the actual gameplay if it anything like previous installments of the series.

I really wish people would stop judging BF3 by it's beta, especially since we only got to play Operation Metro (and a little bit of Caspian Border). I have a feeling the finished version is going to be a lot different.

The only thing I'm still worried about is how they're handling squad management.

Both are just generic shooters made by money hungry companys.

Agreed =) CoD being the worst of them~

TC's games are much better...

The only difference is that BF3 is great, MW3 isn't.

Because they have both been released.

Sales will be better for mw3. But as far as better game probably bf3. Cod I'd played out at this point. It's the casual gamers game.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Also: BETA. lrn2readingcomprehension. Either that or don't defend Skyrim on the basis of Alpha builds, etc.

MW3 is MW2 with new maps. It's the epitome of stale.

BF3 will be incredible. I've never been this excited for a shooter.

The awkward moment when fantasy RPG fans criticise FPSs for being stagnant and generic.

Yes, the fantasy genre isn't all that original but really saying something like TES is even comparable to COD in how stagnant it is, is laughable.

You based your opinion on a beta, whose build was months older than what they currently had.

Excellent work, sir.

You should see the mass panic on the Skyrim board when there's a rock out of place in an ALPHA build. Not even Beta. At least I PLAYED the game before cancelling a preorder. And it was Beta, which isn't even as old as an Alpha build.

You can't cancel the pre-order after the full game is released, so if you don't like what you see in the beta, why not cancel and then buy it later if you change your mind again?

Hmm. Do I believe you, or Dice devs on how old the Beta (which was purely for load testing servers, NOT build testing) was...

Decisions, decisions...

I have to go pick it up at gamestop on tuesday. I originally was getting it for the 360 but I finished building my PC so I changed it to that when I went in to pay it off. :)
