Who still plays oblivion?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 1:29 am

Oblivion is the best TES game there so I still play it, as for Morrowind I feel it is too primitive and Skyrim so empty with all the dumbed down guilds and stuff. Oblivion however has a good story and guild questlines

The only reason I would go back to oblivion now is because I know where everything is, I have hardly touched parts of skyrim yet and I've put in almost 300 hours across many characters. I havent explored dawnstar at all, morthal and falkreath need alot more attention too. So yeah, But i'm over that now and enjoying skyrim to much to go back right now. To bad nursing school takes so much of my time. XP

Not even close.

On topic: I still play Daggerfall, since I can't find my copy of Oblivion.

I'm playing morrowind at the mo, but I plan to do a heavily modded oblivion run through at some point. I find oblivion has a certain charm, and in terms of character options its much deeper than skyrim.

Back to Oblivion now. Skyrim is great but just too many elements from Oblivion missing. Morrowind I will revisit at some point also. Loved that game but not as much as Oblivion cause that was my first TES game. Then after I play Oblivion/Morrowind a while I might go die over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over in Daggerfall :)

This song does several things to me
-Feels nostalgic
-Feels like I could cry
-When wandering Cyrodill I instantly feel as though I will fall asleep

I have often had a nap while having oblivion on in the background :)

Oh man .. Oblivion was boring as hell. I am sorry everyone. I know you guys love that game. I just couldn't find anything interesting or fun to do in Oblivion. Every thing was boring .. lonely all i would fight were crabs and wolfs. Character Creation was probably the worst of all in the series. No face textures nothing at all. Old lady = Young lady. Morrowind still had better textures in faces. Quests in Oblivion were just so freaking simple. .. Loot .. exploration was really really bad. Copy pasted caves and ruins.

The only thing that was good was the music.

I still play oblivion almost a much as skyrim and I enjoy it. (with mods of course) the game to me never gets old. And is deeper then skyrim.

I'll pick it up and put it in the Xbox every now and again, can never play it for long though. It just seems too... Outdated.

On the PC however, I still find enjoyment in it. Ahh what mods can do.

was playing morrowind and newvegas before skyrim.

after i finish the main quest with my current character i'm going to replay oblivion so that i can make a direct comparison between the two.

i haven't played oblivion in a couple years so i'll be ready to give it an honest assessment in light of my recent skyrim gaming.

Old lady = Young lady.
http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/Screenshots/Severia001.jpg I made this character three days ago. Ironically, after hours of desperately trying and not succeeding to get any of my modded faces to age, I had to resort to vanilla faces to achieve an older look.

Haven't played Oblivion in a while even though it's my favorite one. I was very disappointed in Skyrim's guilds. They were borderline pathetic. Reason I haven't gone back to Oblivion is because I've probably played over 1,000 hours of it and have played every quest.

I still play Oblivion usually with the fantastic massively detailed Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul Mod and or the nightmarish mind staggering fear drenched Martigen's Monster Mod with a healthy sprinkling of mods by the unstoppable artist of sixy mods known as AlienSlof.

I also still play Morrowind, Daggerfall and Fallout 3. Its almost as if every new chapter which comes out compliments previous prequels keeping them alive in all their humongous richness of being.

No I guess I shelved Oblivion for good, if I ever need to go back to a more consistent rpg than what Bethesda makes today I can always play Morrowind.

Yes, it WOULD BE, if it didn't CTD so much.

To be fair though, I understand your feelings on it. Oblivion has everything you need to get svcked in.

I haven't played Oblivion since I uninstalled it from my HD to make room for Skyrim mods. I don't think I'll ever go back to Oblivion unless something major happens to it like MGE was for Morrowind. I do plan to go back to modded Morrowind since that's my real home.
