Well, I never saw another post for this so I took the liberty of making it. (If it is impossible to join a faction my bad, but, you can always dream eh?)

Basically, the question is in the title, what faction do you want to join?

I honestly fell in love with the NCR at first glance of the teaser trailer. Smexy armor, hot guns. Good stuff...

Caesar's Legion just didn't cut it for me, they look.... so off. BoS is just, well, we joined them enough in FO3.
So, have it, who do you wanna join and why?

There are more Factions then NCR,CL and BoS and BoS won't be a big faction. Still I voted for NCR because I have been helping them out since Shady Sands.

N.C.R for me... they seem the lesser of two evils, plus a hate slavery and I'm tired of the BoS...

Ya I know, I didn't feel like adding all of them. But if there is a different faction that is not included in that list, go ahead and express your love for them...

Whichever one is the baddest of the bad. And who isn't rude to me, because I won't tolerate rude behavior.

I will probably choose NCR first, if they turn out to be real bastards, I might go over to CL, or stay neutral.

I would choose NCR because I like what they represent.

I'll be siding with Mr. House and/or the people of New Vegas. I always got to start off as a saint. =P

I voted NCR because they the only good guys of the three choices. (But who knows, maybe they'll be dikes too)

I don't think joining the BoS will be possible since they're not really a factor in the game besides a Scribe you can recruite; this is going by current revealed info. Besides, the Western BoS guys are complete dikes, most of them anyway, joining them won't be something I'll consider. Unless I can subvert them in some way or something.

I doubt I'll join the Legion except for a play-thru to get all the achievments related to them; being evil just isn't my style. Plus I need to have SOME folks I can shoot the gnads off of without feeling bad about it.

BoS are a very minor faction. I pick people of new vegas or NCR cant decied.

It all depends on the type of character I create.

For my scientist/doctor character Dr. Bonnie Jones i'll go with whoever has the most technology and scientific know how. :grad: She's kind of neutral/good.

For my big gunner guy/raider character i'll probably go with Ceasar's Legion for the lulz, obviously. He's totally evil.

For my smooth talking rogue character i'll side with no one in particular. F@#$ the man!!!! I'm on my own. I dun answer to no one. :rock: He's out for himself.

And for my average Joe son of a [censored] character i'll role play heavily and just see where hardcoe mode takes my life. :tops: He's just trying to survive.

Out of those 3, the NCR. Though the BoS aren't a major faction. I'm certain i read something a few days ago that said the NCR, Ceasar's Legion, and the people of New Vegas (with or without Mr.House) are the four major factions.

I'll probably end up being NCR or one of the New Vegas citizen groups on my first playthrough.

Sorry for the wrong info, I haven't touched up on my reading. *Goes to Wiki.* I am surprised most people sided with NCR. Then again, it seems like they're the most badass sense they got front cover privileges, but hey, would you rather see a legion guy in a dress with a spear on the front cover?

That does spark an idea to have faction covers... one for the NCR people, one for the legions, and one for the rest of them major factions.

I'll probably go with Vegas my first play through. I was originally going to go with NCR but then Avellone hinted that what they're doing is causing some problems everywhere. I'll probably go with CL on a second playthrough and then NCR on third. Unless you can side with the Vegas faction and one of the other two.

Ceasar's Legion, likely. They look silly, but I am always welcome to new ideas and beliefs. The NCR have numbers, sure, but the Ceasar's Legion are becoming all the more powerful, and it proves that slavery is indeed working -- sounds good to me. :goodjob:

I like their attitude: it seems to be 'If we want it, we'll take it, and there's nothing you can do to stop us'.

I just love the cliche "None, I go my own way and play each side to my own advantage as best I can."
But I doubt I'll wanna make enemies of both of these powerful factions, so I suppose I'll be siding with the NCR if I have to side with someone. Even then, I won't be exactly 'tight' with them.
One thing that is bothering me is that EVERY single one of these topics seem to have the third option as the People of New Vegas. Wouldn't NCR be siding with the People of Vegas? And how do we know that the People of Vegas are against these factions?
It's probably just the way people say 'neither faction', but I don't understand why they put it as the People of New Vegas.
Or maybe I'm an idiot?

Obsidian claimed they were a faction you can side with, so yeah I guess you're right; it's a way of saying 'neither'.

I guess NCR are 'light grey', CL are 'dark grey' and the People of NV are the greyest of the grey -- completely in the middle. I guess their leader would be Mr. House, so people might side with him so they can have the benefits he might provide.

I hear "raiders" are present in parts of the game.
I wonder if they are classed as a "faction" and if you can have some interaction with them!!
