Why can dawnguard members become vampire lords?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 1:18 am

I explained why its okay in my opinion that they did that.

Vampire sided Vampire Lords get the most out of VL, dawnguard VL get the weaker version.
Well, by that logic vampires should be able to smith the steel crossbow and steel bolts. They're the weakest version. On that note, to all of you defending Bethesda's decision, what do you say to that idea? Do you scream "NO!"? I hope not

You don't get that on Dawnguard side unless you do sidequests. Give me vamp arts, I give you recipie for normal steel bolts. And you have dawnguard coming fter byou on every corner, why the heck do you need a recipie when you get them free.

I just went to the barber shop to clean myself up before asking Serana to give me (a Dawnguard with a Dwarven Crossbow) the gift

Personally I find the Vampire artifacts better than the dwarven crossbows, I've done both sides.

Becoming a VL on the Dawnguard side pretty much gets you kicked out of the Dawnguard, the armored trolls are weaker than the gargoyles even when both are scaled to master difficulty....and the Gargoyles are free!

Becoming a VL on the Vampire side with the artifacts is a literal monster, also I get attacked by so many dawnguard in the wilds I've been picking up crossbows of flames/frost and draining and a ton of bolts also we can turn our spouse into a Vampire which can be any NPC in the game excluding werewolves...sry Aela, i turned Lydia. =P

I was tempted to marry Aela but chose Lydia instead.

I also did both sides, so i know what's up.... after becoming a vl you can't buy trolls anymore, but you CAN summon one gargoyle which is better.

I a dawnguard vl can use the forge to do everything i want... i don't need to talk to the dawnguard to do it.

I have the Rune Axe which is better then all vamipre artifacts imo.... :P Dawnguard side FTW

Doubt it. Perks don't carry over.
