Why deathlords are so deadly? :-(

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:46 pm

why Draugr Deathlords are so deadly?!

I m a fine archer level 30 with a high proficiency in light armor and sneak, yet he detects me much better than other enemies, and even nice enough not to shout, a couple of his arrows kill me :-( even don't have time to heal myself!

i'd rather sneak and run away. any better combat strategy would be appreciated :-)

They aren't with the right gear, i find them quite easy on master with my heavy armor S&S Nord, just block and punch back on them, lvl 50 + daedric armor and sword they go down rather easily.

Cowards Secret: use Marked for Death on anyone who is too much of a big meeny and then run away.

Then, when they are hurt and weak, kill them.

>create super toxic poisons, paralysis poisions and invisibility potions

Yeah, they can be tough. My current character is similar to yours, and I'm avoiding enchanting/perks I feel are overpowered. Right now, my current way to defeat them is to use an invisibility potion (I make my own), get behind them, and get the sneak bonus damage. Right now my bonus damage is 12x with the 6x backstab perk and dark brotherhood gloves (avoiding the 15x at the moment), and it takes their health down almost a third. After that, I normally try my best to dodge it's attacks, and when I see it getting ready to shout, I unequip my blade so I don't get disarmed. Normally I use Mehrune's razor on the off chance I can get an insta kill somewhere during the battle. If I don't, I usually have to use at least one health potion. Invis potions are a lot of fun and very useful, you should consider trying to buy or make some. I recommend making them, because they are expensive. Also, paralysis poisons can save you a ton of trouble. I made a few the other night that get 9 seconds of paralysis. Can be very helpful.

Consider yourself lucky that you find some challenge in the game still.

because they are the only ones who can actually do something... together with master icemages. the rest is decoration for the whole game.

Well... at least look at it this way.... they're NOT lords of acid...

we'd have draugr with glow sticks, party favors, and really loud music raving through all of the tombs...

This. They wouldn't be much of a deathlord otherwise.

i didn't know that undeads may also get poisoned or paralyzed! doesn't make any sense!! but i will try your arrow+poison formula :-)

thanks! your strategy worked fine... though i m not as high-level as you are! i tried the sneak melee strike and he killed me! :-( still need to get better in sneak... and with the shout thing!
