Why I Don't Like Skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:04 pm

Bethesda mostly only takes from TES games any more, while replacing what they take with eye candy usually. It's just a fact of life.

Just wish we could have eye candy without losing stuff we love, spells, dispositions that matter, choices, speechcraft wheel, weapons, etc.

Rather than the usual obnoxious "stop whining/crying/whatever" pointless meme strewn timewasting replies i do agree with most of the points you raised but not the manner in which you raised them, These have been discussed individually many times on this forum but the way you lumped all of them into one thread will only result in handfuls of turds being thrown at you, People are quite defensive around these parts & will point their pitchforks in your direction whether or not any of the points are valid.

Word of advice, Engage in the many topics & try to constructively raise your points rather than lump them all into one thread, You will get torn to pieces.

Original threads are few and far between on this forum.

Just got another "I love Skyrim" thread added.

Geez ... don't people know the beta selection is over and they can stop svcking up now?

2: Agreed.

3: Same here. I hate how the only kids we see are Nords. The game does take place in their homeland, but the population of it is not just Nords. You do have other races that are large in numbers and they do live in the holds and towns. So we should see other races of kids.

4: Definitely. I loved how in Morrowind we were able to kill anybody we wanted too. It didn't matter if they were some random NPC, or if they were imporant to the game. We could still kill them. I

5: The game does go overboard on them. Fighting a Dragon should be a rare occurrence. Not every 10 minutes. For my 2nd character I'm not even going to continue the main quest becasue I don't feel like getting swarmed by dragons.

At lower levels it wasn't so bad because they were easy to kill. But now I get Ancient Dragons :bolt:

I really haven't has any problem like this.

Haven't fast travelled at all ... except once in awhile to find an AWOL follower ... the past couple of characters and really haven't found myself facing frequent dragons.

Don't forget about the stolen item system. It's completely dumb that I have to have some random perk, or join the Thieves Guild to sell them. There is no reasone at all why I can't sell them from the start. Morrowind has the right system. If I stole an item from the person I'm selling it to. They attacked me. That's how it should be. Not this [censored] system Oblivion and skyrim uses.

i love how ppl are like " my character is OP "...... and they use pc mods .

personally i love skyrim i think its a masterpiece .
and i dont think character are OP at all if anything its the creatures and some of the NPC's that are OP . some seem to lvl as the character lvls
maybe thats the point not sure . my character is lvl 53 so maybe the creatures will stop leveling soon not sure .

I agree, it would be nice if you could sell items to another town, but not from the town you stole from.

One more then. Don't forget about the level scaling. Because we all know. We don't want an Elder Scrolls RPG to be challenging. We all want the game to hold our hands the whole time. What I really love is that there are thieves in Glass armor. Glass [censored] armor.

Don't get me wrong it's a good game, but I have to many problems with it.

#1 The Spells (lack Of!) Why oh God why did they remove reflect/absorb spell reflect/absorb damage and chameleon? they where the BEST I loved oblivion for those spells.

yeah they make you Over powered, but so what, I'm still over-powered now.. with my god armour which is a lot less fun when you don't get to see the enemies effectively taking damage off themselves.

#2 Spell Making, yeah yeah over-powered... unfortunately this was my favourite feature in oblivion, that and enchanting my armour. ironically I never got to make a spell that was over-powered (stupid magika was always too low)

#3 Children... well I would have really liked to see what the different races (orc, argonian, khajiit) children looked like, and the lack of such children in the game makes me question breeding methods.

#4 Un-killable NPC's, I cant stand them! If I want to kill someone they should [censored] stay dead, (since I helped the imperials, when I came across a stormcloak camp, the leader attacked me and followed me for-goddam-ever) Let me suffer the consequences of my actions.

#5 DRAGONS! why so many? why? I used to love dragons, now I'm sick of seeing them, and why are they more common than skeever? (even after the main quest)

To tired to continue rant so this will do for now
Wasn't you same guy crying to get into the beta and now you don't like it.. :lmao:

The same thing should apply to the Guards. If I stole an item from Whiterun and I get caught killing someone in Windhelm. They should not know that item was stoling. They really have no way of knowing. But if I was caught in Whiterun. Then they should know it was stolen. Because that was the town I stole it from.

True that is ironic. But he does have some good points about the game. Even though he is whining about it.
