Why sixuality, erotism, nudity are worse than violence?

It started with (atleast in the US) the settlers where originally a very conservitive and relegiously minded people so six is still a "taboo" subject to this day.

This is a sweeping generalization that isn't necessarily true all the time. The puritans weren't as... puritanical, as people think. Comparatively to modern society they were pretty reserved, but hardcoe English Bible thumpers weren't the only people who settled the areas that are now known as the United States. Quakers were pretty liberal thinkers for their day. You had plenty of people who fled to the colonies to escape issues they had, had in their native countries... just as you did in many English Colonies.

Arguably the "six as a Taboo Subject" Is newer to our culture than people choose to recognize... look more to the 30s and 50s for times in which you should blame for the prudish approach the average american has towards six as a topic. It could be said it was as an objection to the decadence of the 20's and the subsequent financial collapse that era caused.

short answer: Religion

Yeah, no.

I'm assuming you mean Christianity... which is rather silly, but w/e.

Yeah lets ask all the porm addicts out there and see if thats true. Trust me images stay with you. I bet you think about it more then wanting to go kill someone. Not saying u think about murdering someone just making a point.

... Really? Lets ask Serial Killers. Or how about a-sixual sociopaths.

That would be creeepy lol. No your right im just saying why it shouldnt be in a game but some people will download it because of the nudity. Not saying all of them do it for that but cant say they dont either. If they want to make an elder scrolls game with nudity then make it seperate from the others. I wont be buying it and ill just get the rated M one. My preference is not to have it.

I agree with you there. I'd prefer to not have nudity in my games, just for the sake of it. On the same token though, I don't want studios to have to limit what stories they can tell, because they CAN'T put nudity in the game. If it actually brings something to the story, and is done tastefully, and not just "LOLOL BEWBS!", then I'm fine with it.

Some games don't need nudity to tell their story - and that's fantastic! They can reach a larger audience. At the same time, it should be equally okay for them to do it, if they do it right.

Most of the arguments in this thread are built on the illogical premise that many games, such as Skyrim, actually have "realistic" murder and violence in the first place. Hilarious, people.

Anyways, atleast half the posts in here (including the OP) defy the forum guidelines in some way or another, so I expect a lockdown or a deletion. If it were also a rule that one can't post a logical fallacy, then, well... just about this entire thread would be a malignant beast.

Would you rather have your kid grow up as a pervert, or a psychopath?

Even though neither one actually effects children like that.

This have more to do with regional differences rather than Skyrim. And seeing how derailed the thread become it's obvious that people aren't mature enough to discuss it either.
