Why the silence? Why have we heard no news of DLC?

I've not even considered dlc. I'm still having a lot of fun what they have in the game now.

Yeah um, a lot of the world (including where Bethesda is located), is currently in holiday season. You realize last weekend was Christmas right? Tomorrow is New Years Day.

....Seriously?
That and they need to make sure that the future patches don't cause another 1.2 to occur.

Bethesda isn't a collective force like the Borg.

There are separate teams that work on different things. Some are working on the patch, some are working on DLC, and some are working on the next game.
Exactly. They have a team that are without a doubt throwing around ideas for TES:VI as we speak, and that is that teams job.

And Ares lol..3 hours a day? Lol. You're a lightweight if you only play 3 hours a day, and therefore your remarks regarding if someome could experience all of Skyrim so far is nullified.

They need to fix the bugs and glitches before worrying about their expansions.

Different teams. The artists and modelers aren't going to be any use helping to fix bugs.

Honestly, the bugs aren't a big deal at all. Yes, quests can get locked, but give Bethesda a break. Let them make the DLC before worrying about bugs. I'd be perfectly OK if they never fixed the quest bugs. Why? Because games don't need to be perfect and because I know that fixing bugs can be the absolute most annoying, time consuming, and frustrating thing a programer can do and they deserve a break from that.

Bring on the DLC, fix the bugs whenever you feel like Bethesda

EDIT: And with how many quests are in the damn game it's understandable that some of them will get bugged so just deal with it

Well a little more than a month from release, we heard that the Xbox version was getting DLC a month prior to all other platforms.

Well here we are, almost 2 months after release, it's almost January, and not even a whisper regarding any DLC at all.

Has Bethesda changed their plan? Is the Xbox no longer getting exclusive DLC a month before? It just seems like we would have heard SOMETHING.

Or, could this mean that they are working on a very large expansion style DLC?

Hmmmm....almost 2 whole months, wow....how have we survived without further news...perhaps they are focusing on it post release as they threw all the time at meeting the launch date of 11-11-11....or maybe not, eitherways this is not MW3 or the like, we don't quite need the map packs and costumes yet as skyrim has quite a bit of game in her.

And what difference would news make, except to the impatient I guess, it will be available, when it is available, give us a months notice no worries...

I would prefer they focus on the platform PS3 where you know, some of us can't even play.

Have you not charged your PS3 controller??

Might be a tad exaggeration that you cannot play at all!

Whiners who complain about Bethesda and the game get no DLC. Those who haven't complained get exclusive emails with the dates that all of the DLC will be released.

I got my email. ;)

When devs release DLC info soon after the release of the game proper, they get accused of ripping the content straight from the game and people then moan about it should've been included for free (which in theory i agree with, but that's an entirely different conversation), so it's a case of damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Memory problems on consoles is making it very difficult to create new DLC content without causing console death from memory like on the PS3.

So they're probably too busy trying to address that
