Why are there no bow artifacts? By artifact I mean something with a unique look and effect. It seems Bethesda didnt like us archers very much when they created the game.

The bow you get from Karliah looks different than the other ebony bows...it actually looks nice (I really hate how ebony bows look in first person)

Yeah, I think Bethesda is making up for the "no love for archers" Thing. Leveled my Archery just for the Crossbow.

Yeah Bethesda hates archery. Doesn't allow the damage to scale, the staves are basically pointless, unable to shoot on a horse, broken spells, unnessesary high magika costs, uselss master spells, no enchantment to increase damage, etc.............Oh wait thats Destruction Magic,,

More bows, more crossbows I hope in dawnguard. Hopefully they bring back spellmaking also. Magic needs something more.

No. You cant reload with one hand. I mean you can but its not going to happen in skyrim.

Nothing I hit seems to die when using the bow. But I can walk right up to some character shooting arrows at me and kill him/her with one fell swoop of some mammoth piece of weaponry.
The housecarls are fantastic archers though. And they never run out of arrows!

Crossbow is a 2 handed weapon IRL so i'm going to take a guess and say that it's a 2 handed weapon in Skyrim too. I don't even think the dragonborn and hold and shoot a crossbow with 1 hand.. while holding a shield in another...

You don't "hold" a shield though. You just wrap your hand around the holding piece thingy...

There's the unique Drainspell bow, but you would only get that doing the Mages' quests, and it's the only ghost weapon that has a chance not to spawn.

Bows are not the only weapon not to recieve a daedric artifact counterpart, war axes literally have nothing not even a non daedric unique! If you think there arent enough bows well according to various interviews during/post e3 there are going to be a brand new set of dragonbone weapon (finally!) and somewhere it was also mentioned that silver weapons would increase to all weapon types (from orginally just silver sword and greatsword), so there you go at least 2 new bows as well as crossbows and all other weapon types for dragonbone and silver! :celebration:

I agree at least archery can do it's job anyway most unique weapons svck what's the point if having a unique weapon that does the same damage as a forsworn bow? and has a effect that is useless or weak
