Also, from what we saw on the trailer, which race and class do you guys think will fit better on this DLC?

I reckon there's this post about 7 down but none the less.

Everything looks quite cool and seeings as you get enchanced vampire abilities for siding with the badies there's obviously got to be something just as tasty a reward for siding with the goodies. Get it.. Goodies? Treats..? ahhhh nev.. ugh.

I'l probably play through it on my vampire then on my orc and then start a new character and go at it at the minimum level.

Hopefully Beth looked at some of the very recent vampire posts and added some of the ideas'. It makes sense to be able to blend in and hide your persons via illusion.

I started a new character recently; I'm only a few hours into the game. I suspect that I'll still be playing this character when Dawnguard comes out and he will be a good character to play with.

But, I am going to see what they say at E3. I want to see what new weapons they are adding as well as any other things that might affect my character's "build" because if there are new perks or skills or whatever, it might be worth starting a new character for the DLC.

No, I have no intentions of making a new character for Dawnguard.

I will play through it more than once so I will join both eventually. First run wil be with my current character Tynon and he will join the Dawnguard.

Tynon is a good character. Not an angel and he is not afraid of the tough choices, but will try to help as many as he can.

If I use my current character, I'll probably join the Dawnguard. For the Vampire side I'll start a new one.

No need to. I have 3 characters. A dark elf lvl 64, nord lvl 40 and another nord lvl 15. The dark elf will become hunter and the 40 lvl wizard a vampire.

At the rate I am going I will have started and retired four or five new characters by the time the PC gets it. So, yeah, I might as well start someone new for Dawnguard.

I do wonder if they will give any new treats for Magic casters in Dawnguard, because I just love being a pure Mage.

I'll join the vampires - I like playing as good guys more, but they just look too baddass to let slip.

And I'll make a new character, for sure, but I'll wait until all info is out, so I can tailor make him/her to get the best benefits.

No and yes.

I have a well established vamp already and I want to see how she'll fit in to the DLC's vampire faction if she's already a bloodsvcker.
So I won't be making a new char to join the vamps.

I will probably make a new character to join the Dawnguard themselves, with the build being purposefully designed for slaying bloodsvckers, I was going to pull my old main out of storage for this but I want to try the dlc with both an existing char and a purpose built one.

I'm already a vampire and it would be interesting to see if this would affect the DLC

If the Dawnguards are all "to protect and serve" then Vamps all the way.
But if the Dawngaurd are badasses who just like showing bolts down blood svckers necks.. then Dawnguard all the way

I'm wondering the same thing. Because it looks like you can be transformed in the DLC. Maybe if you are already a vampire, you don't get that option? Seems it would be more fun to be turned into one during that story.

Well, it might make joining the Dawnguard slightly harder.
Perhaps there is a DLC based curing quest for vampires who wish to turn - I can imagine there will definitely be vice-versa.

Same here, I'm interested in this too.

Tbh, it may not have any effect, the whole "lord" thing may be so far beyond regular bloodsvcking that being or not being a vamp when you go for it makes no difference at all.

Personally though I do hope long standing vamps get some love from this DLC.
It's about vampires... and some of us have been vampires for a long time, our dark dedication should be rewarded.

Death to the Dawnguard!

Well, even if you already were a vampire it looks like you are going to a whole new level here... or perhaps a different type of vampirism? I haven't really followed that part of the lore.

Doubt I'll create new characters for the DLC, but will join both sides playing as my already existing characters. Looks like fun.

I just started a new mage, but I have a theif/archer level 40 who I think would be more suitable. At least for RP purposes. He hasn't done the MQ, so I think I'll take him out of "retirement" and do that before the add on comes out.

I'm hoping that being a vampier will be cool. Now it's not all that great.

I will probably make a new character for the Vampire quests, maybe a High Elf? I have a few existing ones to choose from for the Dawnguard quest line though, which is what I will probably do first.
