All right, every RPG on the market nowadays has an expansion pack DLC, but, how many of those DLC were diffirent in any way? None. A few examples would be titles like Dragon Age, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, ect. Have you guys noticed how almost all the DLC for popular RPGs are nothing more than "Hey, we killed those bad guys, but theres still some left, so like, we need you to kill them some more" Broken Steel and Dragon Age Origins: Awakening are sterling examples of this.
Point is, I'm afraid that NV's first DLC may be just another one of these cookie cutter wastes of money.
What are your views on this?
I think you're being unfair and too general. If you step back and take a look at all RPGs since forever, you could say they all consist of you killing stuff to get XP and loot. That, of course, wouldn't be fair because while that may be true to a certain point, there are enough details in many different RPGs to set them apart. I mean, how does Fallout differ from Dragon Age? They are both RPGs where you rack up XP, get levels, loot, and probably kill lots of stuff along the way. We all can quickly come up with a bunch of reasons why those two games are different.
So, likewise, to say that all DLC is nothing more than "go kill these guys some more" isn't a fair judgement. You were probably thinking of Broken Steel but The Pitt, Point Lookout, Operation: Anchorage, and Mothership Zeta had nothing to do with the Enclave. If you're going to judge all DLC based purely on a very, very generalized theme, you may as well not buy or play any DLC for as long as you live. Or RPGs for that matter.
