Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:07 am

DO NT LISTEN TO A COUPLE OF HUNDRED PEOPLE OUT OF A COUPLE OF MILLION!!!!

i have had the game since launch and have played it every day.i have not had ANY of the issues mentioned and neither have my friends who also have ps3

these are MINIORTY issues and you are just doing yourself a bad turn by missing out on this amazing game.

even if you do get these issues by the time your at that high a level the patch will be out

PLAY AND ENJOY DONT BE PUT OFF BY THE MINORITY

The lag is inevitible

your save file WILL expand

out 4 of my friends who bought the game it happend to every single one of them

2 have sold it, me and another are awaiting 1.4 but will sell it if it doesnt fix the problem

I find it funny that people are scared to open your game bethesta, in fear they wont be able to play it

its comedy

Good job then Im happy for you, but tell me right now, that when this man opens it IT WILL NOT LAG

tell me, can you guarantee that it will not lag?

No you cant because its 50/50 all my friends got it but that beyond the point there is no safe zone

If I go and buy bf3 I know FOR A FACT it will not lag single player or online Its a FACT that for ps3 there Is no GAME BREAKING LAG

but skyrim is diffrent how should I know, google skyrim lag and you will see

Now tell me again vault Dweller why should i have to take the risk when purchasing the game, why doesnt it come with a warning : might not work???

why must I say Okay maybe it wont lag and buy it? Dont say this problem doesnt exist if it didnt there would not be TIPS TO TRY sticked by a mod now would there?

tsk tsk frost wolf dear me calm down.

i did not say that there is no issues...............if you stop stamping your feet and read my original post................there a couple of million ps3 copys sold and a maximum of a few hundred complaining on this forum.............YOU DO THE MATHS.

i am not denying that these issues exisist for a MINORITY(as per you maths exam above)all i am saying is that its a small percent CHANCE that he will have issues......................... just like over 2million ps3 owners DONT.

and how can you gurantee that it wont lag??? you are just saying that because your copy lags?

You are acting on the assumption that everyone who bought it for PS3 gets online to post comments when their game messes up, and better yet come to this website only...

And it is a fact that this game was ported horribly and has some serious errors in it's code. EVERY SINGLE COPY. Fact. Do the math(s)...

I see your point...however i would say that the majority of people who play are not bethseda 1st timers and know fine well where to come if issues and where to report them.................where else would you go??

anyway im away to actually away play skyrim rather than waste my time with an issue that doesnt even affect me!!

good luck guys i hope the patch fixes your issues so WE CAN ALL ENJOY SKYRIM RATHER THAN ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER ON THIS BLASTED FORUM

LOL your tag just reminded me of another bug. If any of my loading screens ever say the "sweet mother sweet mother..." thing, then after that, EVERY SINGLE LOADING screen will say it second if not first. It's so annoying.

@scottishguy
you said it yourself a couple hundred thousand PS3 players, and now frost wolfs new information is one third of them are suffering from lag alone.

My turn: 1/3 of 250,000 is about 83,250 people. So either your math(s) skills are HORRIBLE, or you think a couple hundred equals 85,000. Also, that's not everyone I guarantee it. Some people don't partake in polls or post comments ANYWHERE on the internet ever, they just play their games sometimes...

Your turn.

Edit: sorry I got two of you mixed up now it's fixed I think

And that is just from a poll from IGN members.... which hardly reflects the actual numbers of PS3 players with Skyrim lag... School?

I'm glad you got me to do some math(s). I will gather even more numbers soon and figure out an even more precise number of PS3 owners that got screwed. But as it sits now, it looks like it's most likely well over 90,000. 90,000 x $60 = about $5,400,000 made from people who can't even play the game right now...

Now mind you I could be way off... I was going off of scottish guy saying a couple hundred PS3 players and frost wolf saying a third of them at least having lag.

To add to what you just said, some people probably didn't put up with this crap and took the game back/traded it in as soon as the issue affected them. Therefore they have no need to come here. Surprisingly some still don't have internet access. Some are probably lurking here, but don't feel like taking the time to create an account and participate. Finally this forum only operates in the English language, what about those who can't read or speak English? They can't participate at all, that sure limits the amount of people who have the issue.

The IGN poll was in no way scientific, but it demonstrated the fact that enough people have the issue, whether Bethesda or anyone wants to delude themselves into thinking that number is only a small number, or minority. There are still enough people with the problem for Bethesda to step back and say "whoa we messed up somewhere." This isn't a glitched quest issue where 1 out of every 100 may experience it. This is an issue that affects every PS3 copy, whether you want to believe it or not. If you say your game has no frame rate issues, you're lying because it has been shown here numerous times, that even without the severe lag issue, the frame rate of the PS3 version is poor by default.

So it's gotta be closer to a million people (or more) who at this point just gave Bethesda $60 for free! Wow now I'm even more upset!

In fact about 437,000 people pre-ordered on PS3 ALONE according to vgchartz.com. And that's just pre-orders, most people don't pre-order!

Okay vgchartz.com (official video game charts website) puts Skyrim at a current total number of sales for PS3 at about 2.9 mil. So let's round that up to 3 mil first.

According to ign members who took part in a poll, at least 1/3 of them suffered from the horrible lag alone.

So that right there is around 1,000,000 people on PS3 only, that are having major issues with this game.

We can assume the real number of people who have bad lag and other problems would be at least 200,000 more people.

That means at least 1,200,000 PS3 players gave their money to Bethesda for a broken product so far...

1,200,000 x $65 = $78,000,000

So it's pretty safe to say they've already made about $80,000,000 off of PS3 sales ALONE. (And that's only people reporting problems the actual PS3 figure is much higher)

With so much money already, would YOU release a patch that actually fixes most of the problems?

They will probably bare minimum and only fix a couple bugs with main questline and guilds, and also "address" the lag issue.

Release an unfinished broken product and make over 80 mil just from PS3 owners? Sweet! I'm so proud of Bethesda!

Since most of us who are smart know the only reason some people aren't experiencing problems is because of their hard drive and the way they have so far played the game or they just haven't played long enough. The fact is EVERY SINGLE PS3 COPY HAS THESE PROBLEMS! Just because YOU haven't run into them doesn't mean if you started a new game and played differently you wouldn't eventually.

Everyone with the newest patch has the exact same game on their PS3s.

Please. Do yourself a favor and take the game back if there's even a CHANCE you can.

Get the Xbox360 version. My friend has beaten then game on his 360 and I have yet to
finish it on my PS3 due to the horrendous lag/freezing. Here's actually right beside me-
he likes the reference.
Dude, not everyone has issues on PS3.

There is a 50/50 chance you will have lag, there are many people on these forums who haven't had problems.
I have had problems but my cousin has been playing it every day without problem.

Did they fix the lag in Fallout 3, or Fallout NV for PS3? No. Will they fix the lag in Skyrim for PS3? No. The extreme lag Skyrim has on PS3 is NO SURPRISE to me. Bethesda has good ideas for games, and in THEORY the game is great, but the final product is almost always plagued with lag and bugs, they never finished and fixed Fallout 3, or Fallout NV, so why expect them to fix Skyrim. They'll release some half-ass updates for it, but the lag will ALWAYS be there. Take the game back get it for Xbox 360 or PC. The rule of thumb with Bethesda is to never pre-order, wait and check reviews, look for issues it's having, and wait 3-6 months after it's been released so your experience hasn't been ruined, glad I did.

Out of the all the possible comments made on these forums, you decide to argue with my completely
valid point? The issue is that there are people having MAJOR issues with the PS3 version.

That number is significantly reduced on the Xbox360 side. Chances are, they will have a much more
enjoyable experience with the game if they simply make an exchange. I never said anything about
dropping Skyrim all together.

50/50 chance. I don't like them odds. I hardly know a soul with game breaking issues with the Xbox version.
But on the PS3.. completely different story.

I swear... some people.
