Veronica cheers me up. Even when I send her away she's excited about the prospect of room service. She's a definite.

Boone ... heh. The moment he presented his plan for me to lure someone out in front of Dinky for him I would have suddenly remembered a pressing appointment in Goodsprings and excused myself with all the haste I could muster.

Cass probably wouldn't give me the time of day. That makes me sad.

Raul I would never have met because I would have never gone there in the first place.

The same is probably true of Lily. And even if I did run across her um ... no.

ED-E is a no brainer. Of course I'd have him tagging along. Who wouldn't want a cool flying electronic bodyguard/scout/portable stereo and gaming console? Least, I would hope he could play a game or two ... most computers can.

Rex would scare me. And I'd have to walk him. He looks high maintenance.

Not really familiar with Arcade. Didn't like him when I met him so I've never hired him. Maybe I should though, he seems popular with the posters in these forums.

I'd hang out with Arcade and Rex. Arcade would be just the kind of friend I'd want. Sarcastic, smart mouthed, and intelligent.

Seeing a ghoul wouldn't be so bad... SMELLING a ghoul would be.

Arcade: Seems nice enough, bit aloof but a great intellectual partner for discussing serious matters. Shame he's gay.
Boone: He seems kinda... creepy, dark and a bit obsessed. Wouldn't be much fun to talk to, too quiet.
Cassidy: Oh hell yes. Fun, funny, likes a drink now and again (and again and again).
Lilly: No, just, no. Schizophrenic and would cause problems in police company
Veronica: Definately, seems nice and funny. Obsession with punching things may cause issues in polite society but doesn't that go for all the companions? You don't get those kinds of combat skills without serious mental issues

ED-E: Totally
Rex: Probably not, the whole "exposed brain in a pan of gel" thing

Arcade - I doubt I would be persuasive enough to get him to join me; anyways I would like to support the follower if possible.

Boone - I do his quest for his beret and Novac motel room key, I was surprised that I didn't receive another bullet in the skull as payment tbh.

Cass - Yes. Getting evidence from the Van Graffs (or deal with them) would be hard in RL, but I guess Boone can help me out on this.

ED-E - I like robots, so yes.

Lily - I am not sure what classify as "side with her", but I couldn't get her to take her treat regularly.

Raul - Mexican Cowboy is what we need.

Rex - Cyber passed the robot check, yes.

ED-E....he could charge up my I-phone....

Arcade- Definitely, he and I would get on famously and a doctor is always welcome.
Boone- Yes, he's been through some bad situations and has serious psychological trauma but he is skilled, honourable and loyal. As I am travelling with a doctor, he has the support available to recover.
Cass- No, I wouldn't travel with a serious alcoholic.
ED-E- No, I wouldn't want a remote camera tracking me.
Lily- Don't know- haven't tried her as a companion yet.
Raul- Don't know either.
Rex- Absolutely. A good dog is invaluable.
Veronica- For a time. She annoyed me quite a bit initially, but I've grown to like her. She seems as though she would leave on her own one day.

Still, apart from that, I wouldn't mind tagging along Cass at all. While the "drunk" attitude could be discouraging for some people, she can actually get all serious and reasonable when needed. Well, sometimes.

Arcade - I like him, but I'm not sure he'd like me. Still, if he'd be willing to be friends, I think we might be able to get along. But I seriously doubt I'd be able to get him to start traveling with me in the first place, since my idea of breaking the ice is asking to trade Pokemon.

Boone - I'm a perky, somewhat obnoxiously upbeat teenager. He's a grieving, sullen, extremely reserved ex-military guy.
While I understand we're practically identical, his reluctance to open up to me would undoubtedly cause me to assume it's an issue on my part. It'd make me feel way too bad about myself. I'd cry.

Cass - ...B-but my parents would kill me if I ever used those words...

Lilly - I love grandma.

Veronica - Dress! ...Uh. I mean, yes! I bet we could be really, really good friends. I love her sense of humor and can I just say shopping buddy? Oh, we'd have so much fun together.

Raul - Si.

Rex - I love Rex. But I bet he'd eat all my cute hats. That would be unforgivable.

ED-E - I have no idea how to operate anything. I try to fix electronics with tape. Opening tabs in Firefox makes me feel accomplished.

Rex - If he was a cat, sure. Dogs...eh, not so much. But I'd probably let him stay because I always feel for old animals.

Raul - Yes, because he's talented, practical and a good one for when you need an ego boost...all his 'you're the boss' stuff.

Cass - I have mixed feelings about her because on the one hand, she has that snark I love. On other hand, she's more chatty than Veronica. Please be quiet. But she's good in a fight so...why the heck not.

Lily - No. Just, no.

Boone - Yes. Just yes. He's dark but not evil, some of the same morals/ethics so there'd be no conflict there. Best of all...he doesn't talk much. I married a guy who doesn't talk much, so y'know...apparently it's my preference for constant companions (I don't mean just romantic). Plus I'm also into the stoic tragedy routine. *shrug*

Arcade - Intellectual, witty and [Confirmed Bachelor] I'd make a poor confidant :wink_smile:

Veronica - Yeah she's pretty funny and I'd get to see the inside of the BoS Bunker without the unpleasantness of just discovering it.

ED-E - Meh, why not? Although he'd have to turn away if I slept/got changed/had arcade as a companion.

Raul - See above Well yeah and I'd let him have a nice break in the luxury of the lucky 38 if he'd move his tools from his shack....

Cass - Nope, whisky is awful and she drinks battery acid moonshine, she is probably off her head most of the time. She is also way to NCR patriotic.

Lily - No, I'm pretty sure being near to Dr Henry and tending the bighorners would put less stress on her mind.

Boone - Nope military minded, but I'd take his hat. :disguise:

I would side with everyone except ED-E, Rex, and Lily.

ED-E was programmed by the Enclave and I don't know what the full extent of it's programming does. I could inadvertently trigger a self-destruct or it could turn on me at any moment. Thanks alot Terminator, I don't trust machines now!

Rex is a cybernetic dog. While on paper this is a good thing, I'm not too thrilled with the prospect of giving him a new brain...

Veronica would be on the top of my list of a companion to have in real life. We both like punching people, and we can talk about punching people and boost our punching skills. Toss up between Rex and ED-E for the next on the list. I love ED-E's music, but you can get a lot more affection out of a dog...and the whole exposed brain thing would kinda creep me out. I'd probably end up super gluing a top had onto his brain case. Boone might be nice to travel with, because I would know he had my back if we got into trouble. Raul would be cool, but I might be a bit creeped out by ghouls. Cass would be okay if she didn't drink so much. Lily would be okay if she was cured.

Boone: Hell. Yes. Yeah, he's kinda depressing to be around at times, but he's a good friend and I wouldn't be afraid he'd stab me in the back at all. I got his back and he's got mine. We'd be an unstoppable team that the Legion would learn to fear.

ED-E: Yes. Doesn't say much, but when he speaks it's to warn you. Also, having a flying backpack would be pretty cool.

Veronica: Uhh...definitely. Spunky gal like that? You can't go wrong!

Cass: No doubt. She is kinda depressing with that constant drinking, but damn! I wish I was DNA helicase so I could unzip those jeans (ba dum crash!).

Arcade: Yes. Can by a bit cynical, but I think having his smarts would be worth it. Plus he's just a nice guy.

Lily: Not sure. She may be a bit dangerous to be around, but I feel kind of bad for her. Plus, perhaps she could help keep me safe from other super mutants?

Raul: Yes. Having the wisdom of a 200+ year old ghoul would be invaluable. That he's a bit funny looking and that he may lead me to get shunned by others could be a problem though...

Rex: Of course! He's a dog! Though his problems with people wearing hats could be an issue. I do love me some hats...

I'd recruit all these guys and we'd be one big happy but dysfunctional family who roams the Wastes, protecting the innocent and destroying those who prey on them.

I love how everyone fancies Veronica as girlfriend material, when she's an outed lisbian. Good luck with that, guys.

I'd travel with Raul, ED-E, and Rex. Everyone else I can take or leave.

I'd be afraid of Lily.. one minute I'm her grand daughter and the next I may be a cheeseburger. Something about hanging out with a Mutant with a psychological disorder doesn't sit well with me.

I can't believe people would describe Boone as emo or dangerous....he's very much the opposite. I don't think I would clash with him personality wise as he actually reminds me a little of an old friend of mine, what with his quiet nature and somewhat moody temperament. I do think that Boone needs to be around people who are talkative and outgoing (like Carla and Manny) to make up for his own introverted nature. So to those of you who think you're too perky, that might just be the best thing for the almighty Boone.
